(~) Bible Passages about Thanksgiving
As Colossians 4:2 reminds us, we should live life in a spirit of
thankfulness. Even when we are hurting deeply or depressed, we can find
some thing(s) for which to be thankful. The most obvious would be our
salvation. I challenge you to join me in thinking of at least one thing
each day, for which to thank God.
Psa. 92:1-2 (NASB) It is good to give thanks to the LORD And to sing
praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the
morning And Your faithfulness by night.
Psa. 26:6-7 (NASB) I shall wash my hands in innocence, And I will go about
Your altar, O LORD, 7 That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving
And declare all Your wonders.
Psa. 9:1 (NASB) I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart; I will
tell of all Your [wonders.
Psa. 95:2 (NASB) Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us
shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
Phil. 4:6 (NASB) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Col. 4:2 (NASB) Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an
attitude of thanksgiving.
Neh. 12:46 (NASB) For in the days of David and Asaph, in ancient times,
there were leaders of the singers, songs of praise and hymns of
thanksgiving to God.
Rev. 7:12 (NASB) Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and
honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.
