There's no other sacred book that can hold a candle to the Bible, not
to speak about other books .
The way the Bible was written testifies to that fact but yoy have to
read the Bible and study it.
No electronic brains can help you to decode the Bible and we can see
in the way the Bible is interpreted today how man can be supreem over
computers. You can also test the best gifted children who are geniuses
and they will not be able to understand many things from the Bible.

In my area WFSI Annapolis ,Maryland between 8.30-10 PM on weekdays
However know that though I agree with Caming's view of the Bible
totally I am not of his religion as I am convinced Jehovah's Witnesses
are the true religion but you gain a lot by listening to the Open Forum
as I did and still do.
Harold Camping surpasses in his views all nominal christian
denominations.
He is in my view at present , the best preacher on radio and tv on
the face of the earth.
In my opinion he is the most serious opponent to my views and those of
Jehovah's Witnesses.

In what terms? In any case, I don't value ANY so called "holy" book. It's
just a bunch of guys on magic mushies who thought they could make themselves
to be important by writing a few yarns.

Like none of us "heathens" have tried that. Sheesh! In fact the people who
study the bible most, i.e scholars not JW's, are usually not religious. They
have studied the bible in such miniscule detail that it's faults stick out
like Prince Charlie's lugs. A JW's knowledge of the bible would be pitifully
small compared to that of any secular PROFESSIONAL biblical scholar. A real
scholar needs to be unbiased in religion to give unbiased study to the
bible. Otherwise they would just cite whatever passages they wanted to
"prove" their theology. Just like everyone with a religion does.

basically common sense they are very naive - i.e. (thou shalt not kill does
not explain whether capital punishment is allowed, and does not exclude
killing during war). And thou shalt not steal does not exclude a poor,
starving man stealing from the rich to feed his dying family - so let's face
it, even though the 10 commandments sound profound, they are really very
silly and naive - not something inspired by a god!
6. God promises Moses and the Isrealites a promised land. He thus produces
a fantastic miricle by "parting" the red sea to let the Isrealites go
through (and where is the archelogical evidence for this amazing ocurance).

7. God breaks his own commandment by telling the Isrealites to smite thine
enemy ("thou shalt not kill" is on hold for the moment then :-) LOL.).
8. Lot's of wars, plagues, old testament stories of woes and Isrealites
fighting the philistines, blood etc (David and Golliath and all that). A
lot of this stuff may be historically accurate.
9. Phew - now it's on to the new testament - Mary has a baby and she's a
virgin but nobody has tested that she is a virgin - how do we know?
10. The child grows up and starts to change water in to wine and forgive
sins etc (oh yes, he raised somebody from the dead too, but unfortunately
there was no doctors certificate confirming this individual as dead. And
there is no video recordings of any of these miricles - or even much

people to dispose of the excrement, they could not have stored enough straw,

Congrats my Grim one. This is about the most accurate summary of the bible
EVER!!!! (Except it's 4 billion years not 40) I'm actually excited. I'm
going to save your post, have it printed in an extravagant font of 24 carat
gold on a mahogany plaque, and have it pride of place on my bedroom wall so
I can see it every night and morning to remind myself to never, ever let
myself be brainwashed by such dangerous deluded nonsense ever again!

lot of this stuff may be historically accurate.
9. Phew - now it's on to the new testament - Mary has a baby and she's a
virgin but nobody has tested that she is a virgin - how do we know?
10. The child grows up and starts to change water in to wine and forgive
sins etc (oh yes, he raised somebody from the dead too, but unfortunately
there was no doctors certificate confirming this individual as dead. And
there is no video recordings of any of these miricles - or even much
evidence of Jesus the man ???
11. Jesus decides to get himself crucified, but don't worry he's going to
raise from the dead. What a great trick!! No eye-witness accounts, the
gospels were written over 100 years after his death, exaggeration?

How you cut it even if the Bible has the fables it is still God's word
as it must be properly interpreted. This is the most complex book to
understand.No humans could write such a book of themselves.
There are verses in the Bible that were being considered for ages to
be understood !
I know from my own life how much time I had to spend to ponder some
things from the Bible.
To prove more clearly to you try to explain the Book of Revelation
from the beginnnig to the end using the best computers in the world
with your thinking.
