and refutations of his false teachings and have never resorted to the

illustrating where I erred so I may correct those errors. At the very least
we may be able to communicate in a Christian fashion even if we disagree
(unlike Steve Winter's history of e-mail communication).

SW: While posting in public such things as "God bless and keep you" and
SW: whining because I call him the scum that he is, he was sending me so
SW: much harassing email that the US atty send the FBI to pick up in
SW: person the evidence files of his harassment because of the sheer
SW: volume.

Steve's been spreading this particular lie concerning the U.S. Attorney's
office and the FBI for quite some time. Many people (myself included) have
asked him on numerous occasions to provide names to the U.S. Attorney's
office and the FBI to confirm this claim, yet Steve, not surprisingly, has
refused to provide any such verifiable information. On a related note, one
person with a background in law enforcement actually took the time to ask
the FBI if any such activity took place and they clearly told him no such
activity took place (however they did admit knowing of Steve Winter and his
reputation).

There obviously was nothing harassing there in the content of my e-mail. I
merely was asking honest sincere questions for Steve to answer. Any rational
person would have no problem answering such simple questions (Col. 4:6; 1
Peter 3:15), but Steve....

Anyone who has tried to send e-mail asking questions of Steve or even
disagreeing with him gets similar Steve Winter whinings and threats in
return so no one is going to buy into Steve Winter's "harassing email"
argument. In contrast to Steve, I welcome e-mail to discuss matters even
from people who may disagree with my position. I find most people can and do
remain civil, but even if someone does send profanity-filled e-mail merely
to provoke a response I have learned to use the "next" key and how to delete
unwanted mail.

SW: Carl Mccaskey is a blasphemer of the Holy Spirit.

I have NEVER blasphemed the Holy Spirit. This lie is a great insult to me,
but since I am an obedient Christian, I forgive Steve for his bearing false
witness against me and I will still pray for him.

SW: He is a foul little dirt who, having rejected Christianity himself,
SW: fights against the teaching of obedience to the Bible.

Again Steve bears false witness against me and again, as a Christian, I
forgive him for this personal transgression against me. You may be asking
yourself by now why I forgive Steve for all those lies? I ask you to turn in
the Bible to such verses as Matthew 5:44-45, 6:14; Mark 11:25-26; and Luke
6:35-36 and see what instructions on forgiveness are given by Christ.

SW: Jesus called people like him names like "scum".

Oh, and while you have your Bible handy, please use a good concordance to
look up the word "scum." Then please note every instance of its usage in the
Bible. Then please realize that Jesus never called ANYONE scum in the Bible
ESPECIALLY those who followed Him. Then please realize that this is Steve
Winter lying again. He has to resort to twisting scripture to even come
close to justifying this lie. I, and many others, have addressed and refuted
this lie before and even after Steve knows he's been completely refuted,
he'll use it again.

SW: If you bother to read his garbage at all, don't forget, as he
SW: whines about being "loving" and "gentle", the filthy dirt is trying
SW: to explain to you why you don't need to obey the Bible to become a
SW: Christian.

I never tried to convince anyone that obedience to God's words in the Bible
is not important. However I HAVE tried to explain that one must first
correctly understand the meaning of scripture (i.e. - right divide) before
they can properly obey it. Furthermore, I've stressed the importance of not
taking a single passage or handful of scriptures out of context to "prove" a
teaching, but instead studying ALL verses relating to the subject and, in
your personal, Holy Spirit-guided research, allow scripture to explain
scripture.

And in regards to Christians being kind and gentle, let us turn once again
to scripture:

"Give _NONE_ offense, neither to the Jews, nor to the
Gentiles, nor to the church of God:" (1 Corinthians 10:32)
[emphasis mine - CM]

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
(Ephesians 4:32)

"Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved,
bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness,
longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one
another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ
forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on
charity, which is the bond of perfectness." (Colossians 3:12-14)

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such
there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23)

"This you know, my beloved bretheren, but let everyone be
quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger
of man does not achieve the righteousness of God." (James 1:19,20)

"To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing
all meekness unto _ALL_ men." (Titus 3:2) [emphasis mine - CM]

There are more verses that teach Christians to be kind and loving to all,
but I think this sampling shows the proper mode of Christian behavior.

SW: He deceitfully posts verses to try to get you to ignore the fact
SW: that deceiving scum like him are to be "accursed" according to the
SW: Bible.

BTW, this is Steve's reference to Galatians 1:8 (another verse Steve
perverts through shoddy interpretation). Just to clarify, look up "accursed"
(Gr. - _anathema_) in a good Bible dictionary and notice that the proper
definition and use of it in context to this verses means "eternally
condemned."

SW: Neither Jesus or Paul preached that a Christian should be nicey
SW: nicey to some unrepentant religious scum like Carl Mccaskey.

Can Steve be correct about that? Let's turn to some more scripture:

Jesus said:

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy
neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love
your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them
that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use
you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your
Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on
the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and
on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what
reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if
ye salute your bretheren only, what do ye more than others?
do not even the publicans also?" " (Matthew 5:43-47)

Paul wrote:

"And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one

Paul wrote:

There are more verses than this, but this is enough to bring question to
Steve's claim. Personally, I've done the research using the entire Bible,
and the consistent point is that Jesus and Paul both made it clear to give
Christian love to all (even unbelievers).

SW: The bottom line of all of Mccaskey's garbage is to convince you
SW: that you do not need to obey Acts 2:38 as the Apostles preached
SW: and obeyed it.

One must first properly interpret Acts 2:38 before one can properly obey it.

The verse actually teaches:

"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR
(because of - on account of - in respect to - in reference to) the remission
of your sins."

"The word "eis" is simply a preposition of reference. Baptism has a
reference to remission of sins. It is a ceremonial ordinance, or act, which
refers to the remission of sins through Christ's redemption (Matt. 26:28).
Remission is procured by Christ; remission is received by faith (Acts
10:43), and remission is professed by baptism (Acts 2:38)." (Bob L. Ross,
The Restoration Movement. p.48)

[NOTE: The Greek word "eis" is translated into English in Acts 2:38 as
"for."]

The Scriptures teach that it is by Grace through faith that one is saved.
NOT a result of works - including water baptism.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and
this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by
works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared
in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:8-10)

"Jesus said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in
peace." (Luke 7:50)

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever
rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains
on him." (John 3:36)

"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him
who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he
has crossed over from death to life." (John 5:25)

"Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the
one he has sent."" (John 6:29)

"For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son
and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise
him up at the last day." (John 6:40)

The believer BEFORE water baptism:

The believer is a son of God - John 1:12,13.
The believer has eternal life - John 3:14-16; 5:24.
The believer shall never die - John 11:26.
The believer has forgiveness of sins - Acts 13:38.
The believer is made righteous - Romans 4:5-8.
The believer is born of God - 1 John 4:7; 5:1
The believer is justified - Acts 13:39.
The believer has peace - Romans 5:1.
The believer overcomes the world - 1 John 5:5.

...all this without a single drop of water.

SW: Don't waste a prayer on Mccaskey unless it is to pray that the
SW: Lord go ahead and reward him according to his works.

The Lord has richly blessed me and has ignored Steve's vain prayers to
curse.

SW: Sure he is ignorant and sure he is a fool,

Ignorant? A fool? This name-calling doesn't deserve any response. I will
just let the absurdity of such accusations stand for themselves. However, I
do ask you to please find Matthew 5:22 and read what Christ had to say about
calling someone a "fool":

"...whosever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of
hell fire." (Matthew 5:22)

Steve Winter is treading upon very dangerous ground indeed.

So Steve calls me, but it doesn't make it true, nor is it true. In fact it
is patently false. But I forgive Steve for his transgression against me.

I have never blasphemed the Holy Spirit either publicly or privately. This
is a Steve Winter lie and with it he has born false witness against me
again. I still forgive him, though and will continue to pray for him.

SW: so there is no hope for him.

Does Steve TRULY limit God's power to save?

Does Steve claim divine authority to know who is saved or who is not?

I have already been saved through God's grace. My hope is with Jesus Christ
(1 Timothy 1:1) not Steve Winter, so nothing Steve says or claims changes
the fact that I recognize and accept Jesus Christ as my saviour (Matthew
2:11, John 4:42) and that no man cometh unto the Father, but by Jesus (John
14:6). Furthermore, I believe that I was saved by the grace of God through
faith, that it was a free gift and not the result of any works on my part
(Ephesians 2:8).

SW: He is dead while he lives.

As a child of God (1 John 3:1-3) I am made alive in Jesus Christ! I have
accepted Him as my Lord and Saviour (Matthew 2:11, John 4:42) and through my
belief and faith in Him, I have been saved. Praise Jesus!

SW: Don't be deceived.

The one who is trying to deceive is Steve Winter. Do not be deceived by
Steve Winter's dishonesty and false teachings (1 Timothy 6:1-10; 2 Peter
2:1-22; Titus 1:10-16). When those who have saving faith check in the
scriptures and test what Steve Winter says, they have consistently realized
that what Steve is doing and teaching is evil and should be avoided after
being marked as evil (Romans 16:17).

And one point of deception (among many) is Steve's fraudulent usage of the
title "Reverend" and "Pastor."
