A Challence
Here¹s a challenge, promarily directed towards those ³christian² posters
who spend so much time ³standing against sin² and/or letting the worlf
know who is and isn¹t a ³real² christian.
Your audience has never heard of Jesus, have never ever heard of the
Bible, have no acess to the Bible.
You, yourself, have no acess to a Bible..
Explain now, what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is.
Explain why YOU are a Christian.
Explain why they should believe what YOU are telling them.
Keep in mind, before you do the usual ³"argumentum ad hominem", please
keep in mind that this is a world-wide forum and that there surely many
³lurkers² may have never heard the ³Gospel²....
Can you answer the challenge?

If one has no access to God's Word, then it would be
impossible to explain anything about God or the Gospel of Jesus
Christ;
Amos 8:11 "Behold, days are coming," declares the Lord GOD,
"When I will send a famine on the land,
Not a famine for bread or a thirst for water,
But rather for hearing the words of the LORD.
8:12 "People will stagger from sea to sea
And from the north even to the east;
They will go to and fro to seek the word of the LORD,
But they will not find it.
The Creation is defined by the Creator, not the created.
With insatiable appetite intact,

If they have never heard of Jesus or the God of Israel, you
start at the Beginning, Genesis, and work your way through
explaining how it was all leading up to the coming Messiah.
Once you have that in place, then you can explain to them
Jesus Christ and his death on the cross.

->You, yourself, have no acess to a Bible..

Without a Bible, it is impossible, I need at least Genesis,
Isaiah, and the Gospel of John. I could preach a pretty good
Gospel message from Genesis, but it would be somewhat less
satisfying.

->Explain now, what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is.
->

You cannot explain the Gospel of Christ in 50 words or
less. Paul spent years at each church explaining the Gospel,
and even then he did not want to leave because he wanted
to teach them more. This is why Christian converts don't
last, you need to be a disciple, and spend your life studying.

->Explain why YOU are a Christian.
->

I am a Christian because as Paul said the evidence of creation
is obvious. I was under deep conviction and condemnation, and
Jesus has set me free of the condemnation. I now can sin, but
it is a choice. I no longer have to sin, I have the ability
to not sin. I am free from the slavery of sin. I now realise
that Satan has a big shadow, but that is about it. Satan is
a pib-squeak that Michael the Arch angel will cast out of Heaven.
It does not require the strength of God to defeat satan for
Michael has defeated him easily, and will defeat him at the start
of the Tribulation. Satan is a created being, and no match for
God.
I wish I could proclaim sinless perfection, but it is a daily
battle, which is why we are to pick our cross, deny ourselves,
and follow Him daily.

->Explain why they should believe what YOU are telling them.
->

They should not just take my word for it. They should see for
themselves. God is willing to reveal himself to anyone who is
honestly seeking. Taste and see if the Lord is good.

No, because you set this up as a self serving ploy to
justify yourself when no one can. Would you ask a physics
teacher to teach a physics class without a textbook?
You just want to say, "AHA! You're not a real Christian, because
you cannot work with the stupid strawman that I have setup."
I recommned you read this:

You make a false assumption that Paul et al had no Bible,
because you fall into the fallacy that the New Testament is
all there is. Sorry, but Jesus quoted from Deuteronomy more
than any other.
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets,
neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Luke 16:31
What this says is, If you will not be converted by the Old
Testament, then the greatest miracle that I could perform is
useless. If you will not follow the "rules", you have no hope.
This is possibly the most depressing verse in the Bible for
me. It does not matter what you do for some people just aren't going
to listen.

Do you really thing this passage is referring to a BOOK?

It is in the sense that the Bible will be hard to find. I
see the new versions such as The Message, NIV, and others
as "paraphrase" (i.e. a man's opinion of what it said) not
really the Word of God. In the future you will be hard pressed
to find a real Bible like Young's Literal Translation. I have
an old KJV that the cover has literally fallen off of that I
will never part with willingly.
Also this means that men will stop preaching God's word, and
start telling people what they want to hear. Paul tells Timothy
that men will not endure sound doctrine, but will seek teachers
to tickle their ears. That is pretty much a description of TBN.

It is sad, that you feel that you cannot explain why YOU are a

Do you mean to say that Christ does not live in you, and/or that you have

The rainbow was a convent between Noah, and God that He would
not destroy the word by flood again. God said that it would
be like the days of Noah, and Sodom and Gomorrah. It is odd that
the ones who are heralding the future judgment of God would take
the symbol of that past judgment. I guess God has a sense of humor
or you do not fear God at all.

Ninure Saunders aka Rainbow Christian

I know that the God of Israel is the one true God, and I beleive
the Bible, but I find it painfully depressing. Even God sitting
in Heaven has to beg people to go to Heaven. How stupid can we be?
Oh I would rather sit in the burning house, and continue with
some mild pleasure than run out of the house to God. You are the
epitome of stupidity. Why are you posting here? Is it just to
make people angry? God is love, but He is also one who keeps His
word. Repent. God has promised to judge those who say, "I have no
sin". Confess your sin to God, and repent.

Homosexuality is an abomination to God, because God has to suffer
with you as you die. The suffering that you will feel, so will,
and did, Christ when He became your sin.

My apologies to Ezekiel, you cannot have a complete mesage
without Ezekiel 18:31 for this is the "heart" of the Gospel.
Without this verse you will not understand this verse:
John 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master
of Israel, and knowest not these things?
So a Gospel summary could be made up of these verses.
Deu 6:5 Love God
Lev 19:18 Love your neighbor
Gen 15:6 Beleive God
Ez 11:19,18:31,36:26 Be reborn of the spirit, new heart.
Habakkuk 2:4 The just shall live by faith.
Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I
spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must
be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the
prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me;
for he wrote of me.
I hope that you see that it is crucial to use the Old Testament
in evangelism.

Do you really thing this passage is referring to a BOOK?

To what is it referring?

It is sad, that you feel that you cannot explain why YOU are a
Christian...or expalin what the Gospel of Jesus is, without access to a
Book.

Do you mean to say that Christ does not live in you, and/or that you have
not been given the Holt Spirit to Guide you as Jesus promised?

I'm persuaded by the Spirit to read His Scripture, that I
might understand proper conversation and how best to serve my Lord,
Ninure.
Acts 8:34 The eunuch answered Philip and said, "Please tell me, of
whom does the prophet say this? Of himself or of someone else?"
8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture
he preached Jesus to him.
Ezra 7:10
For Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the LORD and to
practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.
Nehemiah 8:1 And all the people gathered as one man at the square
which was in front of the Water Gate, and they asked Ezra the scribe
to bring the book of the law of Moses which the LORD had given to
Israel.
8:2 Then Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly of men,
women and all who could listen with understanding, on the first day of
the seventh month.
8:3 He read from it before the square which was in front of the Water
Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of men and
women, those who could understand; and all the people were attentive
to the book of the law.
[...]
8:5 Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people for he was
standing above all the people; and when he opened it, all the people
stood up.
8:6 Then Ezra blessed the LORD the great God. And all the people
answered, "Amen, Amen!" while lifting up their hands; then they bowed
low and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
8:7 Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah,
Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, the Levites,
explained the law to the people while the people remained in their
place.
8:8 They read from the book, from the law of God, translating to give
the sense so that they understood the reading.
8:9 Then Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and
scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people,
"This day is holy to the LORD your God; do not mourn or weep." For all
the people were weeping when they heard the words of the law.
[...]
8:13 Then on the second day the heads of fathers' households of all
the people, the priests and the Levites were gathered to Ezra the
scribe that they might gain insight into the words of the law.
8:14 They found written in the law how the LORD had commanded through
Moses that the sons of Israel should live in booths during the feast
of the seventh month.
8:15 So they proclaimed and circulated a proclamation in all their
cities and in Jerusalem, saying, "Go out to the hills, and bring olive
branches and wild olive branches, myrtle branches, palm branches and
branches of other leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written."
Acts 17:11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in
Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness,
examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for
teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
Luke 4:16 And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and
as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood
up to read.
4:17 And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He
opened the book and found the place where it was written,
4:18 "THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME,
BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR.
HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES,
AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND,
TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
4:19 TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD."
4:20 And He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant and sat
down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him.
4:21 And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture has been
fulfilled in your hearing."
Regards,
Hector

So how do you imagine that the early Christiansm who had no access to the
Bible, seeing as how much of the NT was not yet written, became
Christians, or persauded others to be Christian?

They preached from the Old Testament.

Sure. Right after you show me where in the Bible God
approves of homosexual acts.

Seriously, where in the Bible does "God" say ANYTHING
that is not in reality just the opinion, idea, speculation or
