Glenn,
In the subject of the phrase in the New Testament,
which says that "every knee shall bow" you said that
it is talking about the time that Christ returns.
You quoted the following as proof...
*****************************************************
These three scriptures are about the coming of the Lord
Mt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son
of man in heaven: and then shall *all the tribes of
the earth* mourn, *and they shall see* the Son of man
coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great
glory.
Re 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds;
and *every eye shall see him*,
and they also which pierced him:
and *all kindreds of the earth* shall wail
because of him. Even so, Amen.
Phil 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him,
and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus *every knee should bow*,
of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things
under the earth;
11 And that *every tongue should confess* that Jesus
Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
The above thee scriptures are about the Coming
of the Lord.
*************************************************
I then responded by showing you that Philippians 2:9-11
is not about the return of the Lord and since that
passage is the one that contains the phrase "every knee
shall bow", that is the relevant passage.
You claimed they all tie together, but that is not true
at all.
In context, which means also quoted v8, which you
intentionally left out, it says...
Philippians 2:8-11
8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled
himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross.
9) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and
given him a name which is above every name:
10) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things
under the earth;
11) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus
Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
It specifically talks about Jesus being exalted,
because He dies on the cross and being given
"a name above every name".
Now Glenn, do you wish to also claim that Jesus
has not been given a name above every name?
After all, YOU CLAIM that these verses have NOT
happened yet. That *IS* your claim, since you
claimed that they are about the time of His return.
As anyone can see, you made a foolish claim!
And it is documented in the thread...
"TO TELL THE TRUTH: YOU DECIDE"
So why did you respond by claiming that you are correct
in saying that Philippians 2:9-11 is about His return,
EVEN AFTER I pointed out your grievous error?
Why are you still insisting that the phrase has to do
with the time He returns, when it clearly, specifically
says that it has to do with the time of His exaltation?
By insisting that you are correct; that these passages
are about a time yet future, which you did claim and
intentionally left out v8, you are actually saying the
following...
1) Christ has not yet died.
2) He has not yet risen.
3) He has not yet been exalted.
4) He has not yet been given a name above every name.
Now do you wish to stick with your claim that these
verses are about His return?
I think you will, because no matter how high the proof
of your lies and errors stacks up, you have NOT ONCE
admitted to the things you do! (:

and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the
Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way
as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest
receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost."
