Object: A quote for a guy who won't do his job
I have a friend who is not doing his job by getting me some papers he owes me.
He has told me twice he would mail these papers and I have STILL not gotten
them. Does anyone have a bible quote I could quote him to highlight my distress
with him and him not doing his duty? we are both christians B

"One cannot be exposed to the law and order of the
universe without concluding that there must be design
and purpose behind it all... The better we understand
the intracacies of the universe and all it harbors,
the more reason we have found to marvel at the inherent
design upon which it is based... To be forced to
believe only one conclusion --- that everything in the
universe happened by chance --- would violate the very
objectivity of science itself... What random process
could produce the brains of man or the system of the
human eye? They (evolutionists) challenge science to
prove the existence of God. But must we really light
a candle to see the Sun? ... They say they cannot
visualize a designer. Well, can a physicist visualize
an electron? ...What strange rationale makes some
physicists accept the inconceivable electron as real
while refusing to accept the reality of a Designer on
the ground that they cannot conceive Him?"

Matt 5:13 You are the salt of the earth. But if the earth loses its
saltiness, how can it be made salty again? IT IS NO LONGER GOOD FOR
ANYTHING, EXCEPT BEING THROWN OUT AND TRAMPLED BY MEN.

I recommend Matthew 18:15
A Brother Who Sins Against You
15"If your brother sins against you,[2] go and show him his fault,
just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your
brother over. 16But if he will not listen, take one or two others
along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of
two or three witnesses.'[3] 17If he refuses to listen to them, tell it
to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat
him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
18"I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be[4] bound
in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[5] loosed in
heaven.
19"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything
you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20For
where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant
21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I
forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"
22Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven
times.[6]

I recommend Matthew 18:15

A Brother Who Sins Against You

15"If your brother sins against you,[2] go and show him his fault,
just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your
brother over. 16But if he will not listen, take one or two others
along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of

19"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything
you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20For
where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

Yes, this would be along the lines of the "Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find;" verse which I recommended earlier. As we all
know, "if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be
done for you by my Father in heaven," just like Jesus said. Otherwise there
might be some controversy surrounding the Christian religion if this were
not the case.

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I
forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"
22Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven
times.[6]

Well, yes. Of course if he "refuses to listen to them" (the one or two
others which you are commanded by God to bring with you) and then he
"refuses to listen even to the church," then you are bound by Jesus to treat
him as a pagan or a tax collector. But don't worry, because if two of you
and your witnesses gather together and ask, then you would never have to be
in the position of treating him as a pagan or a tax collector, or going to
the church, since he would automatically give you the papers in question.
