About Predictions and Prophecies for 2012
First, The world will not end in (or before) 2012, and there is no
Biblical Prophecy which points to the Lord's return before approximately
2014. In fact, there is a seven year sequence of prophetic events which
has not yet begun and therefore can not and will not conclude before 2014.
I did not write this post to explain what will happen, but rather to
identify some predictions will NOT happen.
The following is found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012

2012 is sometimes claimed to be a great year of spiritual transformation
(or apocalypse). Many esoteric sources interpret the completion of the
thirteenth B'ak'tun cycle in the Long Count of the Maya calendar (which
occurs on December 21 by the most widely held correlation) to mean there
will be a major change in world order.
1. Polar Shift is a theory that on December 21st 2012 Earth will be
in line with the sun and a *Black Hole that is at the center of our
galaxy the Milky Way, All these actions may cause earths poles change
move position, or have an affect on Earth's magnetic field which might
cause the loss of Earth's atmosphere, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions or
other natural disasters.
Accordingly, several eclectic authors claim that a major, world-changing
event will take place in 2012:
2. The 1995 book The Mayan Prophecies linked the Maya calendar with
long-period sunspot cycles.
3. The book 2012: Mayan Year of Destiny claims the Maya may have
been instructed in their wisdom by discarnate entities from Orion and
the Pleiades. Contact was maintained through shamanic rituals conducted
in accordance with the movements of planets and stars.
4. The 1997 book The Bible Code claims that, according to certain
algorithms of the Bible code, a meteor, asteroid or comet will collide
with the Earth.
5. The book The Nostradamus Code speaks of a series of natural
disasters caused by a comet (possibly as above) that will allow the
third Antichrist to disperse his troops around the globe under the guise
of aid in preparation for a possible nuclear war, although in the
strictest sense it is unspecific as to nuclear war or some other natural
or man caused destruction.
6. The book The Orion Prophecy claims that the Earth's magnetic
field will reverse.
7 The 2005 book Beyond 2012: Catastrophe or Ecstasy by Geoff Stray
reviews several theories, prophecies and predictions concerning 2012 and
finds where authors have used faulty information or have bent the truth
to fit their theories.
8. The 2006 book 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl by Daniel
Pinchbeck discusses theories of a possible global awakening to psychic
connection by the year 2012, creating a noosphere.
9. The 2007 book Apocalypse 2012: A Scientific Investigation into
Civilization's End by Lawrence Joseph does not make any specific new
predictions, but it reviews a number of 2012 predictions made by various
sources, and presents arguments for the possible existence of dangerous
positive feedback loops involving solar storms, Earth's magnetic field,
cosmic rays, hurricanes, global warming, earthquakes, and supervolcanoes
that may be on the verge of erupting.
Other prophecies and apocalyptic writings and hypotheses for this year
include:
10. Terence McKenna's mathematical novelty theory suggests a point
of singularity in which humankind will go through a great shift in
consciousness.
11. The Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to Saint Malachy,
speculated that Pope Benedict XVI would reign during the beginning of
the tribulation of which Jesus spoke, and sometime later a future pope
described in the prophecy as "Peter the Roman", the last in this
prophetic list, would appear, bringing as a result the destruction of
the city of Rome and the Last Judgment.
12. Some proponents of a peak oil catastrophe place major events in
2012. Richard C. Duncan's book The Peak of World Oil Production and the
Road To The Olduvai Gorge claims that the Olduvai cliff will begin and
permanent blackouts will occur worldwide. Several studies predict a peak
in oil production in or around 2012. [10] [11] [12]
13. Some alien-enthusiasts (e.g. Riley Martin), along with some
new-agers, believe 2012 to correspond approximately with the return of
alien "watchers" or "caretakers" who might have helped the first human
civilizations with developing their technology and may have been waiting
for us to reach a higher level of technological and/or social
advancement. Beliefs range from the extra-terrestrials having benevolent
purposes — such as to help human society evolve — to malevolent purposes
— such as enslavement of mankind and/or manipulation.
14. There is a Hindu following indicating the appearance of an
Avatar (God in human form) with God-like powers who will herald a new
age. A website to this effect appears at: End of the World 2012.
End quote.
=========
Some predictions which will NOT happen:
#1. There is no such thing as a "black hole," and, the alignment of
planets or other galactic or stellar objects has no effect on the earth
or events on earth.
#2, 3. The Mayan Calendar (nor any other 'calendar') has no effect on
human events.
#4, 5. There is no "Bible Code" and Nostradamus is not a prophet, and no
single, large, asteroid or comet will impact the earth.
#8, 10, 14. This may be related to Satan proclaiming himself to be
"God." However, that event will occur in the midst of Daniel's 70th week
(Seven Years) -- which sequence of events have not yet (22Aug07) begun.
#12. Actually, "Peak Oil" may have already occurred, which is why the
United States has occupied Iraq, and may lead to war with Iran. "Peak
oil" is a term, and theory, that should be investigated. A "peak" such
as a "Bell Curve" can have a fairly long (relatively speaking) 'period.'
#13. There are no "alien civilizations."

JERRY
Are you saying that there are no polar reversals?

GLENN
#2, 3. The Mayan Calendar (nor any other 'calendar') has no effect on
human events.

JERRY
For that matter, the bible also has no effect on human events. It's
ridiculous to assume that a 2000 year old book of goatherder mythology
has any impact on current events.

#4, 5. There is no "Bible Code" and Nostradamus is not a prophet, and no
single, large, asteroid or comet will impact the earth.

"God." However, that event will occur in the midst of Daniel's 70th week
(Seven Years) -- which sequence of events have not yet (22Aug07) begun.

JERRY
There is no Satan as he is a construct of the bible and the bible has
been conclusively shown not to be true. Hence, there is also no truth
to the 70 weeks of Daniel prophecy as the bible fails on prophecy as
witnessed by the failure of Ezekiel chapter 26 to come true.

#12. Actually, "Peak Oil" may have already occurred, which is why the
United States has occupied Iraq, and may lead to war with Iran. "Peak
oil" is a term, and theory, that should be investigated. A "peak" such
as a "Bell Curve" can have a fairly long (relatively speaking) 'period.'

ridiculous statements, and I was wondering.

Beliefs range from the extra-terrestrials having benevolent
purposes - such as to help human society evolve - to malevolent purposes
- such as enslavement of mankind and/or manipulation.
14. There is a Hindu following indicating the appearance of an
Avatar (God in human form) with God-like powers who will herald a new
age. A website to this effect appears at: End of the World 2012.

Absolutely true. HOWEVER, we were told by Jesus (the final "prophet")
to look to the world around us (nature in most cases) as our "signs",
not the calendar, for the indications that the End is upon us.
The End is certainly upon us and prophesies continue to be fulfilled.
But to say, "this is going to happen, and that's going to happen, and
then seven years (to the day) from This Event, He will come..."
is foolish, and there is NO scriptural basis to it.

Which is it? Or is it all three?

Considering the verse:
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's
clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
That is what 'said party' is.
He falsely 'predicted' a world cleansing, named a time frame, and it
never came to fruition, marking him the false prophet he is.
A coward as well, he said he hoped he would be taken first, and then
his son.
As well, these verses:
Mat 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women
there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding
he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
Mat 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom
of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
Mat 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
Mat 11:14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elijah, which was for to
come.
Mat 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Certainly REAL prophets will continue to exist.
But regarding 'said party':
Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall
show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the
elect.
Since the end of this world has not yet come, we must consider the
words of the Bible as accurate:
Luk 18:31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them,
Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the
prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
Luk 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to
believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Luk 24:26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to
enter into his glory?
Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake
unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled,
which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in
the psalms, concerning me.
Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,
evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of
the stature of the fullness of Christ:
Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro,
and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men,
and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all
things, which is the head, even Christ:
Eph 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted
by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual
working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto
the edifying of itself in love.
Eph 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye
henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their
mind,
Eph 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the
life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the
blindness of their heart:
Eph 4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto
lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Eph 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
Eph 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by
him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old
man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created
in righteousness and true holiness.
Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his
neighbor: for we are members one of another.
Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your
wrath:
Eph 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.
Eph 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor,
working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to
give to him that needeth.
Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but
that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace
unto the hearers.
Eph 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed
unto the day of redemption.
Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and
evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
'Said party' is merely trying to aregue. He LIVES to argue, lie, and
put opthers down ion whatever way his childish mind can concoct.
Like a witche's brew in the days of old, whewn we pictured 'old hags'
so to speak, stirring the cauldron.. 'said party' is a modern-day
version of those depictions.
Daily he stirs his cauldron, and the recipe for his soup is simple:
Into the water, add a large portion of hatred. Stir in well. Add
generous amounts of lies, false prohecies, cursing and threats. Heat
to a boil, stirring constantly, then add a large amount of pride and
hypocrisy. Stirring constantly, add a generous amount of cunning and
deceit.
Keep on stirring, then add a large portion of argument, then serve.
That's my version of how 'said party' cooks - always trying to stir up
something too hot for him to handle.

As to the 'metaphysical' and New Age Humanism, that is all stuff of
Satan, which, unfortunately, the world will see too much of in the last
days -- it is just that it will not bring 'peace and love', but hate,
war and death.

Your "said party" is vague; as well as your comment about "world

taken first, and then his son"?

....the one who is arguing back and forth with you.

Argue is all he does, aside from lying.

Futurists cannot be false prophets, because if it doesn't
happen, they just move the date.

Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,
evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro,
and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men,
and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Eph 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
Eph 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by
him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old
man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

You're a liar.

Liar, huh?
Well, here's the PROOF:

So, As the News Blares This AM, that a 2nd Osama tape has Appeared
I see a nuclear launch by N Korea in the next week or so. I see a
response from our west coast, but my area, Seattle, will likely be a
first hit. That will be my answer to prayer; I'll be taken out first.
I pray my son will follow VERY shortly.
Expect a hit on the Eastern seaboard, and a third, wherever the Al
Quaida have planted the one of 2 or 3 missing briefcase bombs.
Nuclear.
Whether Russia will join the nuclear fray is doubtful, but All sides
will probably stand down momentarily, and then enter State Left, the
Anti-Christ with a 7-year Peace Treaty in his hand.
Those who are attuned will be able to connect the dots. So far, the
scenario I've foreseen is happening.
The News just announced that the Muslim holy day has ended, and as of
this moment, 0504 PST, we can expect a nuclear attack on America at
any time.
Pray for our nation as the war comes to our shores. Perhaps this is
America's payback for ther national sins, such as America ignoring the
children stolen by our corrupt governments.
There'es the proof. 'Said party' has AGAIN been proven a liar and a
false prophet.

Setting ANY timetables OR dates is not scriptural.

Wrong:

On several occasions God has given prophecies containing times.

Absolutely true. HOWEVER, we were told by Jesus (the final "prophet")

Where is there any scripture which tells us that Jesus is the Last
Prophet? There is NONE!

You have yet again missed the point.

Does Luke, in the book of Acts, describe prophets? There were, then,
prophets in the first century Church AFTER Jesus!!
