Object: Age old debate of losing salvation
No, I'm not trying to stir up any trouble...
but I m going through a bible study where the topic of losing your
salvation has come up...
Does anyone have passages for/against the argument?
Many thanks,

It occurred to me that an example may be in order..
Hebrews 6.4-6
<<It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened,
who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who
have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming
age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to
their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and
subjecting him to public disgrace.>>
Looking at this passage, it seems unbelievably clear that those who have
been enlightened AND tasted in the heavenly gift (which I interpret to
mean Holy Spirit) to be brought back if they fall away.
This seems undeniable simple: if you become a believer, taste in God's
glory, somehow reject it/fall away, to be brought back to a state of
repentance.
This begs the question, does the author speak about losing your salvation,
or just not being brought back to a state where you repent to God?
Many thanks,

Yes, both sides do, because no one cares about context.

People tend to be "single passage wonders".
Using this method, both sides will have
passages that seem to support their position.

No, I wouldn't. Honestly, no offense, but I'm not
your library and I'm not going to spend hours
collecting them all for you. Research the issue
and look them up.
