John, for my part, I was never taken under Steve Winter's wing. Being naive
and thinking
this was a man of God ( Big Mistake) I e-mailed him and couple of times.
He seemed very courteous and polite, and me being new to Usenet, was not
aware of the
creeps that lurk out there.
Then he called my house, because he had some kind of deal, where he could
call all over
without having long distance on Friday nights. He called one night and my
wife talked with
Sister Nancy Winter. She is so polite and sweet. They spoke of children,
etc. I was working
that night. I can not remember all the details, but he told me about his
newsgroup and said he
was going to put me on it. I thought that would be nice to share. After I
got on it, there were
very few people on it and Steve Winter ruled. The best articles that were
written there were
by Nancy Winter.
Second or third phone call, I discerned the man. He began to bad mouth the
UPCI, etc, and I
discerned a deceitful spirit in him. I told my wife I did not want to go
any further communicating with
him. In the future, we did not answer the phone. The Lord showed me to
stay clear of him, because
he was the type that would divide the Body of Christ.
Then you know the rest of the story.....I spoke out against something he was
for and then I was kicked
off his forum, became pond scum, religious *****, and ignorant. All because,
I would not speak
evil against Bro. Mark Bassett.
I have been around long enough to know the deceiver.
To hate is not my nature nor the Nature of God. I would that Steve not hate
me, but I cannot help that.

of spiritual conviction. It is my belief, based upon steves actions,
that he had previous knowledge of the porn problem at zippys,
though I do not believe he had viewed it firsthand. I saw it firsthand
after Cub brought it to my attention, but I had to ask for help in how
to relax my browser settings in thunderbird. The porn was definately
there.

Most here know that I do not believe Steve Winter is a christian at all,
but rather a blasphemer of Jesus Christ. His deeds and fruit show no
evidence whatsoever of Godliness, his gospel is based upon the work of
baptism, is devoid of repentance, and his teachings blaspheme Jesus
Christ, the Incarnate Man.
My purpose in this my posting is to draw a stark contrast between the
true gospel and commensurate impeccable walk of Jesus Christ, and the
false gospel and commensurate evil walk of Steve Winter.

To put what I have to say in perspective, let me summarize some history.
Most will remember that a regular poster here by the name of Rod some
time ago became a professed believer of Steve Winter's gospel, and
professed to be a Christian. Rod then got involved in a local church and
after some time began to (rightly) question some of Steve Winter's
behavior, and to challenge him. (Of late Rod has said he is no longer a
Christian, or at least is not sure.)
Steve Winter has lately reacted to Rod by posting the following in
various posts:
"You are an ignorant, bumbling, obsessed pig, Rod."
"You are prating fool now Rod, a sick, pathetic excuse for a man."
"God calls you a dog turned again to its own vomit, Rod."
"Know, little scum, that there is a preacher praying for"
the Lord to reward you according to your works."
"You are a filthy piece of scum Rod, and a sleazy liar."
"You are a pride engorged lying pig now Rod"
"Your [sic] wallowing in sin is affecting your mind Judas... er
I mean "Rod"."
And this last statement of Steve Winter in particular struck me:
"I have prayed for you Rod, that the Lord would either bring you
back in or get you out of the way."
Now I'm not quite sure what "get you out of the way" entails, but since
Steve Winter also posts that he prays "for the Lord to reward you
according to your works", it sounds rather ominous, and, at the least,
it sounds like desiring something bad to happen to Rod. (God forbid it!)
Now I am particularly struck by the contrast of Jesus Christ to Steve
Winter. My Savior, Jesus Christ, when He knew that Peter would deny Him
(something far worse than Rod ever did to Steve Winter) what does *He*
do? Does He pray for God to 'get Peter out of the way'? Does He pray for
God to 'reward Peter according to his works'? Does He call Peter a scum,
a pig, a dog, a prating fool, and Judas?
NO! Precious Savior! Hear *His* words and prayer for Peter: "but I have
prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you
have turned again, strengthen your brothers." Like 22:32
How in keeping with the character of the true Shepherd, the true Pastor,
was *His* prayer for Peter. He who is our great Intercessor before God
(not our accuser and name caller) loves His sheep dearly, even the ones
who fail and deny Him.
Rod, I trust that you will know the never wavering love of the Lord
Jesus Christ for you! There are those of us here praying _for_ you, like

who has published a book of his "wisdom", a self-proclaimed leader of a
church, let's be compare you to a man who also led company of God's
people with true wisdom (and grace). Let's examine his behavior and
compare it to yours. We can do this comparison confidently using this
man as an example, because he was a man of whom God said that He spoke
"face to face, as a man speaketh unto his _friend_." Moreover, God also
said of this great leader, "With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even
apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD
shall he behold". There's no question then that this man was approved of
God. But even more, of this man it was said, "Now the man ... was very
meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth." What an
excellent quality to possess as a leader of God's people!
The first thing I think we can compare is this man's opinion of himself
to your opinion of yourself. When God called this man to His service did
the man say, 'I'm a real preacher'? like you call yourself, Steve? Look
what he said: "O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor
since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of
a slow tongue." How instructive! This was a man of _humility_, and that
not of the words of his own mouth, but evidenced in his _behavior_.
Another comparison would be to observe how this man behaved towards
those he was called to lead. All that invective of yours above quoted,
Steve, are your words specifically to Rod, a man who you were the leader
of. Now that he has strayed from you, has questioned your authority,
those reviling words are an example of your leadership behavior. You've
even implored God to "remove him [Rod] out of the way". Is this how
God's approved servants are to behave? Let's see.
This other leader I am speaking of had similar problems. His authority
was also questioned on more than one occasion, but one example will
suffice. Some people he was leading rebelled against him too. Therefore
we can compare his behavior to yours and see if they are similar. If
they are, then we can say with confidence that you also, Steve, are a
servant of God, a leader.
Here's what those who rebelled against this man said: "Hath the LORD
indeed spoken only by...[you]? hath he not spoken also by us?" That
sounds like a challenge to the authority of this leader. I think perhaps
at this point, if this man behaved like you, he'd be praying for God to
remove these people out of the way, or at the least, asking God to
reward them according to their works, as you do.
Let's continue. "And the LORD heard it". Yes, He heard it just like he
heard everything Rod has said about you. So then, what was the
consequence of their challenging God chosen leader; what was the
outcome? "and, behold, ...[one of the challengers] became leprous, white
as snow". After reading your words above I cannot but conclude that if
some bad thing happened to Rod, you'd find satisfaction in it, and
perhaps, humanly speaking, we might believe that this leader also found
satisfaction in what happened to his challenger, (though, up to this
point, he has been silent).
But let's not to speculate as to what this leader might be thinking or
praying, but examine what the scriptures have recorded of his response
to this challenge, and see if it compares to what you have done, Steve.
Let's see:
"And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech
thee."
Now that is amazing! Moses said not one thing, not even a single
negative thing. No, instead he became an intercessor before God for
Miriam! Now *that* is a true leader after the heart of God, for the
blessed Lord Jesus is also an intercessor: For Peter he prayed to God,
and I know for me too He intercedes daily for my failures.
Sadly then, Steve, we must conclude that you are no leader at all; not
Moses-like nor Christ-like.
But know this: There are those praying _for_ you (not _against_ you),
that God may shine in that darkened heart of yours with the glorious
gospel of His _grace_, for, "_grace_ and truth came by Jesus Christ",
and not the gospel of Steve Winter.
It all begins by obeying Acts 2:38, "Repent..."
Quartus, a brother, but not your brother.

Not totally true. The site in question advertised that they
did not allow porn and I made the honest mistake of believing
them. When a credible individual advised me of the situation

Due to my intricate involvment in uncovering this scandal, I feel I
must bring the facts out ONE MORE TIME!
Here's the deal, I was first advised that Puster Winter was uploading
videos to www.zippyvideos.com by simply reading one of his posts where
he was bragging about having his "videos" on this filthy website.
Now, after reviewing www.zippyvideos.com, I found many pornographic
videos that were right there next to his "videos". I then sounded the
alarm and then the fireworks started! You see, Puster did not want to
take his videos down at first, so I investigated the matter a little
further. Upon further investigation, I found that the sponsors for his
videos were www.adultdatefinder.com. The sleazy part was that when you
pulled up his videos, you also had to look at his
sponsor(www.adultdatefinder.com). Right by Puster Winter's picture were
NAKED women ALL OVER the webpage. Now "Pogo" has his facts wrong.
Puster knew EXACTLY who his sponsor was. While there were in fact MANY
naked women on his page, not all the women were naked. So this bidness
about his "filter" being on doesn't hold water. He knew exactly what he
was doing.
After I uncovered this bit of info, the tide of public opinion drown
the bearded serpent. He was forced to do "damage control"! He cut and
ran with his beard between his legs!
He has never admitted that I was right, in fact he called myself and
others involved liars.
Well Puster, look at these websites and tell me what I was lying
about.www.zippyvideos.com and www.adultdatefinder.com
Now he claims innocence, but let's ask him why he now publishes his
videos on "AOL" and "youtube". These are just as filthy as the previous
sites are but Puster doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that aol
supports gay rights and abortion rights.
I will keep on exposing the brazen rash of hypocracy that Puster Winter
exuded on a regular basis.
