No, not faked.
They are going to charge the pie-throwers with felony charges.
Misdemeanor, yeah. Felony? That is insane - but not unexpected.

Given the fact that the pie-throwers are being charged with
felonies, and despite the fact that I am not a betting man, I would
still place a decent wager on this one.
It sounds too much like a college prank - and/or protest. It was
fairly harmless. Personally, I think that throwing pies at Coulter,
while amusing at a certain level, interfered with Coulter's freedom
of speech, and took away from the people who had paid the 12 grand
to have her appear. But it is most certainly not a felony level
offense.
Now, I also think that Coulter is a hateful bigot who sells a
message of intolerance and selfishness. I think that she is way to
full of herself, and no longer even realizes what drivel she is
preaching. But in this nation, people have the right to pay $12,000
to hear her talk. Personally, I think that they got ripped off -
badly.

I'd bet my eternal soul that it wasn't. This is too playful for the
neocon mind. This kind of street theater is typical of many elements
of the left - Jerry Rubin, folk singers, Michael Moore, but very few
of the navy blue crowd does this sort of thing. Oh, some of them may
have their little sexual quirks, but for them that's *work, not play,
and it's serious business.

No, of course not. Her ilke think such a thing is grievious crime deserving of
jail time. Except should the perpetrators had been black, then a brutal bloody
public whipping a la The Passion of the Christ.
[Note][God forbid] Should the perpetrators had been black AND the victim a white
lady, then burning at the stake would be the only punishment to be met out.
Fortunately for the perpetrators, Ann Coulter acts the foul mouth and not a
lady.

Not the life savings, but I don't think it's probable she arranged for it
herself. She has WAY too big a sense of self-importance to
voluntarily subject herself to something that makes her
look vulnerable and ridiculous.
And really, this was a dumb move on somebody's part.
Throwing a pie at someone is unlikely to cause any real
harm, but it's not necessarily impossible. And much as I dislike
Ann Coulter, there must have been a few moments when
she thought she was genuinely under attack and in jeopardy,
before she realized it was just pies. I don't advocate doing
that to anyone.
Plus, it just gives her more ammunition to denounce "intolerant"
liberals.

It is certainly possible that they might turn out to be neo-con

Good. She deserves to be afraid. Bush hasn't made the country any safer
and she should fear that her shrill support for his idiotic policies has

At least liberals are tolerant most of the time, as opposed to bitches
like Ann Coulter who are intolerant 100% of the time. Anyway, if Ann
complains about it then use the same rhetoric she does and accuse her of
whining. After all, it's not like she ended up losing an arm in Iraq or

way in Iraq and she bears partial responsibility for their deaths. So
no, I don't see any reason for being tolerant toward Ann Coulter.

People like Coulter like to put philosophies in peoples' mouths. Liberals
aren't tolerant of everything. Obviously, some of the biggest military
operations were instigated by Democrats. Specifically, liberals are not
tolerant of intolerance. Specifically, liberals aren't tolerant of right wing
nut jobs like Coulter. And there is no hypocrisy in this.

complains about it then use the same rhetoric she does and accuse her of
whining. After all, it's not like she ended up losing an arm in Iraq or
anything. But her moronic drivel helped send young people into harms
way in Iraq and she bears partial responsibility for their deaths. So
no, I don't see any reason for being tolerant toward Ann Coulter.

"Columnist Coulter pelted with pies"

The Washington Times - Oct 22 9:53 AM
Phoenix, AZ, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Two men threw custard pies at
conservative author and columnist Ann Coulter during her speech at
the
University of Arizona.

No, not faked.

Would you bet your life savings it wasn't faked ??

Not the life savings, but I don't think it's probable she arranged for it
herself. She has WAY too big a sense of self-importance to
voluntarily subject herself to something that makes her
look vulnerable and ridiculous.

And really, this was a dumb move on somebody's part.

Throwing a pie at someone is unlikely to cause any real
harm, but it's not necessarily impossible. And much as I dislike
Ann Coulter, there must have been a few moments when
she thought she was genuinely under attack and in jeopardy,
before she realized it was just pies. I don't advocate doing
that to anyone.

Plus, it just gives her more ammunition to denounce "intolerant"
liberals.

Which is why neocons posing as liberals would do it. Exactly for
that effect. Albeit, took you awhile to get to the point, though.

No, not faked.

They are going to charge the pie-throwers with felony charges.

Misdemeanor, yeah. Felony? That is insane - but not unexpected.

I hope they spend a long time in prison.

I hope they spend a long time in prison.

Why? For throwing a pie?
Yes, it was uncouth. Yes, it was a misdemeanor. But it was not a
felonious action. It was not like holding up a convenience store
with a gun, or rape, or murder. It was a custard pie.
Or is it that you want to see those who disagree with you jailed on
general principals?
Me, I think that the pie-throwers were out of line. Much as I
despise Ann Coulter, I respect her right to say her piece - even if
it is hate filled, bigoted drivel. I also respect the right of
those who enjoy listening to her to pay $12,000 for the experience
of hearing her speak.
So, yeah, the pie-throwers should probably be punished in some way.
But something on the level of a series of weekends spent picking up
trash along the freeway is in order - not something on the order of
hard time.
