Many Christians think that the Christian tradition of communion is the
same as the Catholic tradition of the Eucharist. But this is not so.
The Eucharist (i.e., Transubstantiation ), a Catholic term for
communion when the bread and the wine actually become the very body
and blood of Jesus Christ, thus when taken the partaker supposedly
experiences the presence of God. These transformed elements are placed
in what is called a monstrance and can then be worshipped as if
worshipping God Himself. The implications are tied in with salvation.
With the Eucharist, salvation becomes sacramental (participation in a
ritual) as opposed to justification by faith in Christ alone. While
this mystical experience called the Eucharist is a form of idolatry
(as well as the very heart of Catholicism), there appears to be an
increase of interest by evangelical Christians towards this practice.
In Roger Oakland's vital book, Another Jesus?: The Eucharistic Christ
and the New Evangelization, he warns about this growing deception
within Christendom. Explaining that Eucharist Adoration (worshipping
the sacraments as if they were Jesus Himself) is expected of all
Catholics, many evangelicals seem to find no offense in such a
doctrine.
Pope John Paul II has called for a new evangelization focused on the
Eucharistic Christ. According to Roman Catholic teaching, the
Eucharist is the central component of the Mass and the source and
summit of Christianity. It is believed that when a priest consecrates
the Communion bread, the wafer is no longer bread, but the actual
body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ. Rome teaches that
Jesus is literally and bodily present wherever a consecrated Host is
found. Therefore, hundreds of thousands of Catholic churches claim
that Jesus is present in their eucharistic tabernacle or monstrance.
How might this peculiar belief lead to the evangelization of the world
into the Roman Catholic religious system? Is transubstantiation taught
in the Bible? Does Bible prophecy give insight into these global,
ecumenical end-time events? What did Jesus mean when He warned that
many would claim that Christ was in the "inner rooms" in the last days
(Matthew 24: 23-27)? Why did Jesus warn that these false appearances
of counterfeit christs would be accompanied by "great signs and
wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect"? Another Jesus? The

ROMAN CATHOLIC DOCTRINE PRESENTS THEIR PRIESTS AS "ANOTHER CHRIST"
The Catechism presents the Roman Catholic priest as "another Christ",
something which the Bible condemns and forbids. Yet, Jesus talked
about the time when "other Christs" would arise.
"The priest is, indeed, another Christ, or in some way, he is himself
a continuation of Christ." (Pope Pius XI, Encylical on the Priesthood)
Roman Catholicism does, indeed, teach that the priest functions on
earth as another Jesus Christ, as this quote from Pope Pius XI and as
this picture, above, shows. This revelation is damning, because the
Bible forbids us to follow "another Christ"! Take a close look at this
picture. In the very top, we see Jesus Christ in the robes of the
Roman Catholic priest, making intercession to God the Father, Who is
shown within the Pagan equilateral triangle. Then, through a cloud, we
see a real human Roman Catholic priest, receiving the intercession
passing through Jesus Christ, which he can then pass through to the
parishioners below.
This picture does a lot more than just depict Catholic belief that the
priest is working on their behalf, receiving power and authority
directly from Jesus; the picture depicts the Catholic teaching that
the human priest is "another Christ", as the writing to the left so
clearly illustrates. Jesus Himself warned us, in Matthew 24, that, at
the End of the Age, people would see many instances where "another
Christ" would appear, claiming that he is a Christ. Listen.
" Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name,
saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." [Matthew 24:4-5] Notice
that Jesus immediately stated that such claims would be great
deception, and would be successful in deceiving "many". Would you
consider the Roman Catholic faithful, one billion strong, to
constitute "many"? Further, I would consider the many thousands of
Roman Catholic priests as "many" christs. Thus, in both sides of this
coin, this Roman Catholic teaching qualifies as fulfillment of Jesus'
End Times prophecy.
Now, let us examine another instance in which Jesus Christ warned that
many "Christs" would appear. " Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo,
here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false
Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders;
insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you,
Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret
chambers; believe it not." {Matthew 24:23-26]
Jesus was warning here that, at the End of the Age, many false Christs
would arise, claiming to be Jesus Christ. This false teaching is
exactly what this Roman Catholic doctrine claims! Further, Jesus is
saying that these many false Christs would appear in many places, and
would show great power and claim great authority. Again, this is
exactly what this Roman Catholic teaching accomplishes. Finally, Jesus
warned that these false Christs would appear in a variety of places,
from the open expanses of the desert to the closed confines of a
secret room. We are told that, wherever we hear of a person claiming
to be Christ, we are to ignore them, and believe them not!
Notice, also, that these false Christs will be very convincing. They
will persuade many people of the validity of their claim to be another
Christ. Listen to Jesus' exact words: " if it were possible, they
shall deceive the very elect". If the Holy Spirit were not working in
the hearts and minds of the true believers, even they would be
deceived. The corollary to this warning is that all of the unbelievers
would be deceived by these false Christs. This warning should be
sounding loudly and clearly in the spiritual ears of all devout Roman
Catholics as they consider this abominable teaching that priests are
"another Christ". The very wording of this teaching should cause you
to understand this truth.
Finally, we need to consider that Jesus Christ, Messiah, is synonymous
with His Word. Listen to the words of John the Apostle: " In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God." [John 1:1] Here we read the Truth that the Word of God is God
Himself! This teaching is quite startling and should cause anyone to
take great care in how he or she handles the Word of God. In past
articles, we have written much about the many warnings God gives
against "adding to" or "taking from" God's Word. Now, we know why God
was so adamant against tampering with His Word; His Word IS God!!
Then, a few verses later, John makes it crystal clear who this Word
was, which part of the Trinity the Word is. Listen: " And the Word was
made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as
of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." [John
1:14] The Word was made flesh; that means the Word is Jesus Christ
Himself!
This fact means that the priest who is claiming to be "another Christ"
is also claiming to be the Word of God! This fact is very interesting,
as it would explain why the Roman Catholic Church has consistently
invented new teachings in the past 1,700 years.

vote was taken. At the last meeting of the council, on July 18, 1870,
it was decided by 533 votes to 2 that the pope was infallible when
defining a doctrine concerning faith or morals."

We find it highly instructive that some of the most important Roman
Catholic doctrines, such as Papal Infallibility and the Assumption of
Mary, were not "revealed" to Roman Catholic Popes until 1870 and 1950,
respectively. How could such a kind and benevolent God keep such
important "doctrines" secret from the faithful for over 1,500 years?
Prior to the declaration in 1123 that priests were to be celibate,
Roman Catholic priests were allowed to marry and have families. How
could God's Word, which the Bible declares to be eternal, change so
much over a period of time? The answer is that, God's Word does not
ever change, which is why God cut off the revelation of Divine
Scripture after the era of the Apostles. God wanted His people who
were to live after the Apostolic Era, to have the benefit of a never
changing Scripture. This doctrine gives us an "anchor for our souls".
But, Roman Catholicism gives no such anchor to its faithful. Other
Popes have reversed the decrees of a past Pope, and later Councils
have reversed the decrees of past Councils. For me and my house, give
me the anchor of a never changing Gospel.
Finally, let us review the warning that the Apostle Paul issued
against the propagation of "another Gospel". Since Jesus Christ is
synonymous with His Word, He is also synonymous with His Gospel. The
term, Gospel, in the original Greek, literally meant "good news", the
good news of the simple Biblical Plan of Salvation. Listen to the
Apostle Paul fight against those who were trying to give "another
Gospel" to the Churches in Paul's day.
"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into
the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but
there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of
Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other
gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be
accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any
other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be
accursed." [Galatians 1:6-9]
We find it very interesting that these false Christs in Paul's day,
preaching "another Gospel", had these false teachings revealed to them
by "angels", beings that looked like angels from Heaven. Of course,
Satan is the great deceiver, who can change himself from the ugly
demon he is, to a beautiful angelic being, so he can deceive mankind.
Satan's demons can do the same thing. Please keep this fact in mind
when you consider the many supernatural apparitions which are flooding
the world in this End of the Age. Listen to Paul's warning: "And no
marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as
the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their
works."
[2 Corinthians 11:14-15]
The Apostle Paul was literally saying that all false teachers,
propagating false Gospels, are to be "accursed". The word literally
means "go to Hell". Certainly, the "other Gospel" propagated by the
Roman Catholic Church richly deserves this kind of condemnation.
Instead of the simple Plan of Salvation through Jesus Christ alone, in
Faith in His mighty Grace, the Roman Catholic Church has substituted a
very complex system that purports to save, but cannot ever save.
Roman Catholic doctrine substitutes this simple Plan of Salvation into
a salvation of:
Sacraments
Praying to the dead -- the Virgin Mary and Roman Catholic Saints
Worship of relics
Fasting on holy days
Sprinkling of "holy" water
Praying the forbidden Rosary [Matthew 6:7-8; "But when ye pray, use
not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they
shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto
them". Jesus truly hit the nail on the head. Heathens invented the
Rosary and pray to it today. We have been vigorously warning of all
the Paganism that the Roman Catholic Church has inserted into their
doctrines! The very fact that you pray using the Heathen Rosary should
be a huge red signal to you, telling you something is deadly wrong.
Trusting in the supposed ability of human priests to forgive sin

Trusting in an "infallible" Pope, and his indulgences
Trusting in good works to save you.
This entire system of "salvation" has evolved over the past 1,600
years, and totally obscures the simple truth of the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. From 1550-1850, over 8 million Protestants gave their lives to
defend the simple Biblical Gospel against the onslaught of the Roman
Catholic Church.
Folks, we urge you to look again at the picture, above, very, very
carefully. Let Jesus' Words warning against "another Christ" ring in
your ears. Please understand that the context of Jesus' warning was
the End of the Age, a time in which we are now living. Let the
warnings of the Apostle Paul also ring in your heart, warning against
another Gospel.
