Object: Anti-Semitism
It seems that lately, saying anything that is critical
of the Jews, is labeled as "anti-Semitic". But is that
what it is? Is it anti-Semitic to tell the truth? I say
that if you don't want your actions noted, don't do
those things.
Personally, I have no animosity against the Jews,
as a people. What I don't like, is that they (not all,
but almost all) reject Christ.
I also don't like it when people seem to think that
their rejection of God and His Christ for the last,
almost 2,000 years, somehow equates to being
"God's chosen people". If He chose them above
all others, He's not doing a good job of showing
it and He's had almost 2,000 years to do it!
Yet they still reject Christ. (:
Now let me ask you... would you say of any other
people? That doing what the Jews have done for
the last, almost 2,000 years equates to being God's
chosen people?
Let's look at it...
1) They disgraced the Mosaic system, long before
Christ appeared on the scene, which is why He
overturned the money tables.
2) They rejected Christ as their Messiah, preferring
instead to look for the physical fulfillment, when
it was a spiritual fulfillment that God planned
(sound familiar, Dispy's?).
3) They demanded Christ's crucifixion. Pilate was
going to let Him go, but they threatened him
that they were going to tell Caesar that he
(Pilate) would not be a friend of Caesar if
he let Jesus go.
4) They outright rejected their King, not only in
Christ, but they rejected God Himself, desiring
a physical king!
"But they cried out, Away with him, away with him,
crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify
your King? The chief priests answered, WE HAVE
NO KING BUT CAESAR." - John 19:15
This of course, was not the first time...
"But the thing displeased Samuel when they said,
Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed
to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, Heed
the voice of the people in all that they say to you;
for they have not rejected you, BUT THEY HAVE
REJECTED ME, THAT I SHOULD NOT REIGN
OVER THEM." - 1 Samuel 8:6-7
And the Apostles told them that they had "killed
their King". They did not pull punches! They did
say that they did it in ignorance. I think they were
being kind about it, but I am certainly in no position
to be critical of the Apostles. None of us are. :)
5) To this day, they still reject Christ and claim that
the Law is the way, even though the Scripture tells
us that to follow the way of the Law, is to be under
the curse.
Now how does any of this add up to, "The Jews are
God's chosen people" ???
And how does telling the truth about what they did
and what they are still doing, add up to anti-Semitism?
Truth has become anti-Semitic?! Huh?!?
The truth is, that we are to love the Jews. But not
more than any other people. Nor should we be
seeking to be ecumenical with them, since their
religion is an outright rejection of Christ and should
not be considered any more valid than any other
false religion. Of course it was not always a false
religion. Not before Christ came. But once He did
and once He returned and destroyed the Mosaic
system, that was that! Yet today, we have people
not only trying to accept their religion as valid and
as a way to God, even though Jesus said that NO ONE
comes to the Father, except through Him, but they
also don't even try to convert the Jews anymore!
And they actually think that God is going to set up
the temple again, which means animal sacrifice for
sin, which is the only purpose for a temple and that
Jesus will sit in it, which means He would ordain
this kind of behavior!
Ecumenism is not from God and yet, it is what
the churches are doing! (:
People, how did the church get so messed up?!
What we should be doing, is just as Christ instructed
His disciples to do, when He sent them to the Jewish
people, to show them the true way.
Now some people will say that Christ came for the Jews.
And that is true. That was His Earthly mission, when
He came the first time. Judgment could not be placed
upon them, had He not brought the message to them.
They used to be God's chosen people and God gave
them this last opportunity to come to Him in the truth.
But guess what? They rejected Him! And Jesus told
them flat out, that their generation would be judged
upon His return! He told them that their generation
was the one that would "fill up the measure" of their
sin! While people wait for some major thing to happen,
what else could be worse than rejecting God's Son
and crucifying Him?!?
And in the Jewish War, which was at its peak in 70 AD,
God used the Roman armies to judge the Jewish people
and the Temple was destroyed and torn apart, stone by
stone to retrieve the melted gold that ran in between
them, when they burned the Temple and so, "not one
stone was left upon another", just as Jesus said would
happen! It was over for them as a "nationally chosen
people by God"! Now, it was to be a matter of each
individual accepting, or rejecting Christ and that is
what they would be judged by!
So what was it that Jesus instructed the disciples to do,
when He sent them out to preach to the Jews in the
various cities? And please, pay attention to what He
said to do, if they rejected the message, which is of
course, to reject Him...
Mark 6:7-11
7) And He called the twelve to Himself, and began
to send them out two by two, and gave them power
over unclean spirits.
8) He commanded them to take nothing for the
journey except a staff; no bag, no bread, no copper
in their money belts;
9) but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics.
10) Also He said to them, In whatever place you enter
a house, stay there till you depart from that place.
11) And whoever will not receive you nor hear you,
when you depart from there, shake off the dust under
your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly,
I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and
Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!
Kicking the dust off of one's feet, was a huge insult!
So how does that equate to what we see Christians
claiming we are supposed to do today? It doesn't!
Jesus: If they reject you, shake the dust off your feet
as a testimony AGAINST THEM.
Dispy's: Let's love the Jews, because they are God's
chosen people. And don't say anything
about them, that isn't said in praise of them,
because if you do, you're an anti-Semite
and you aren't serving God!
Does the way that Jesus said to treat them when
they reject Him sound even remotely close to what
you claim people should do? Does it sound like
He considered them His "chosen people", if they
reject Him? And how does a religion that rejects
Christ add up to God's religion?
It seems to me, that the conclusion that must logically
be drawn from what the modern church preaches about
this issue, is that Jesus did not serve God! After all,
He DID speak against them! He DID tell them that
they would be rejected by God, if they rejected Him!
It seems to me like Jesus, even being a Jew, was,
according to the modern church, an anti-Semite!
Therefore, I reject any church that says that someone
can get to God without Christ and that a people can
be "God's chosen people", while they reject Christ!
And I reject anyone's words, who agrees with that idea!
The truth is, when you don't make it your mission
to bring them the Gospel, then you are not doing
what Christ said to do!
The truth is, that when you don't let them know
that you are (even symbolically) "shaking the
dust off your feet, as a testimony against them",
then you are not following what Jesus said to do!
The truth is, that when you ignore these things
and pretend that ecumenism is from God, you
are ignoring God's word!
Now does this mean to treat only the Jews this way?
I'm not saying that. But I think that Jesus told them
to reject the Jewish people, their own people, who
rejected Christ so harshly, because they were at that
time, "God's chosen people", when they had not yet
heard Jesus' message. And it was what they would
do with it, that would determine a blessing for them,
or a cursing against them.
So if anything, Jesus was more harsh with them,
than others, because as Paul said, "to them was
committed the oracles of God" and so, they should
have known better than to reject their true King!
Anyway, the bottom line is that I love the Jews
and I have no animosity toward them whatsoever.
But I do not love them above any other people.
In fact, I love them as individuals, not as a people.
Nor do I love any other people as a whole. I love
people as individuals, no matter what ethnic
background they come from and that is how
it should be done, IMO.
When all of the worldly trappings get whittled away,
it comes down to one thing. One is either in Christ
and is headed for Heaven, or one is not in Christ
and is headed for Hell. And it doesn't matter what
group they come from! It is now, since Christ, an
individual thing, not a national thing. Christ did
not come to redeem some dirt! He came to redeem
us! And so, it is hypocritical to say that we will be
judged only by whether or not we accepted or
rejected Christ and to then pretend that there's
some special rule for Jews, who somehow get
to reject Christ and still be, "God's chosen people".
C'mon folks, get a grip! :)
As for the Jews today, they are not the ones who
crucified Christ, but they do have their own guilt.
1) They call Jesus a sorcerer and a liar.
2) They deny the resurrection.
3) They deny that He is Lord.
None of this adds up to, "I'm on my way to Heaven"!
Think about it. :)
And before anyone starts quoting Scripture, remember
that it is not honest structure, to pretend that every
passage is about today. For example, yes, Jesus said
that He was sent to the Jewish people. But that applied
to HIS MISSION ON EARTH. That does not mean that
they get to reject Him, have Him crucified and then
His mission forever remains to the Jews! And if that
is His mission, then that leaves the Gentles out! Hello?
The truth is, that the promise to Abraham was about
Christ and the blessing in Him and that He would
become, "a light to the Gentiles".
Jesus clearly said TO THE JEWISH PEOPLE...
"Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God
shall be taken from you, and given to a nation
bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever
shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on
whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to
powder." - Matthew 21:43-44
It is clear here, that Jesus said that the Kingdom of God
would be taken from them and given to another. Now
how does that add up to, "God's national Israel Kingdom"
that you believe is coming?
It is also clear that Jesus said about Himself (the stone),
that whoever rejects Him, would be crushed by it!
This shows us that as I said, it is now an individual
and not a national thing!
Amen! And i hope you are blessed by this!

People are so afraid to reject doctrine, that they just
don't give a damn what the Bible actually says! Sad!

Duh..... You don't suppose that's because He blinded them so we could be
saved do ya? Duh....
Duh.... Doesn't He say they will be saved after the blindness is removed?
Duh.....
Romans 11:25-29
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,
lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is
happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. [26] And
so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion
the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: [27] For this is
my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. [28] As concerning
the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election,
they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. [29] For the gifts and calling of
God are without repentance.
