Basic Bible salvation |
II Timothy 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God,
and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness:
II Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly
furnished unto all good works.
II Timothy 4:1 I charge [thee] therefore before God, and the Lord
Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his
appearing and his kingdom;
II Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of
season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and
doctrine.
II Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure
sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears;
II Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the
truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
So it is my job as a preacher to "preach the word" and expose
popular "fables".
In the Bible when sinners asked "what shall we do?" the Apostles
responded (with Peter as the spokesman) and said:
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
They were told to repent, be water baptised in Jesus name to have
their past sins remitted, and to receive the gift of the Holy
Ghost.
Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and
to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God
shall call.
Then Peter went on to say that this was the plan for "as many as
the Lord our God shall call".
Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort,
saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:
and the same day there were added [unto them] about three
thousand souls.
Then about 3000 that received the "word" were water baptised in
Jesus name to have all of their past sins remitted. Sins are
actually washed away when people are baptised using the NAME of
the Lord (His name is Jesus).
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and
wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
The other "epistles" like Romans and Ephesians are letters to
people who were already Christians telling them how to "stay
Christian". Acts 2:38 tells you how to BECOME a Christian, then
you need the other books to learn what God expects of Christians.
Unless you first become a Christian by obeying Acts 2:38, the
other epistles aren't really addressed to you and the promises
aren't for you.
Notice how the Apostles founded the churches and what they told
people to do to become Christians.
** Jews when they received the Holy Ghost **
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began
to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
** Samaritans when they received the Holy Ghost **
Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard
that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them
Peter and John:
Acts 8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that
they might receive the Holy Ghost:
Acts 8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they
were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Acts 8:17 Then laid they [their] hands on them, and they received
the Holy Ghost.
** There was a clear instant sign so that the Apostles knew that
they had received the same Holy Ghost that the Apostles had *
** Gentiles when they received the Holy Ghost **
Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were
astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the
Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify
God. Then answered Peter,
Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be
baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of
the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
** John the Baptist's disciples had to be RE- baptised and then
they received the same Holy Ghost **
Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost
since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as
heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Acts 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized?
And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Acts 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism
of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe
on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Acts 19:5 When they heard [this], they were baptized in the name
of the Lord Jesus.
Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy
Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Jews, gentiles, Samaritans; all baptised in JESUS name, all spoke
in tongues when they received the Holy Ghost. And all that is
just the beginning of a Christian life.
Mark 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake:
but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run
all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Not those who start the race, but those who finish.

The answer is no. You will be acting more as unto the Lord, and growing =
daily into His image. That is part of the new birth experience. It is =
called holiness, and despite what some show here, true holiness starts =
with the right attitude, and continues on in humility, repentance, and a =
contrite spirit before the Lord.
Brian, please do not judge all by the actions of some, including my =
former conversations here. I admit I brought shame in the past on the =
name, but have since repented, and have done all I can to be a witness =
to all. Bro. Bassett, Moon, Taylor and others have shown me much =

I'd have to say that it's not very nice to call someone scum. Yes,
they get ruffle our feathers, but the Lord would have us to remain
loving (though that's hard to do where some people are concerned.) I
pray you're careful with your choice of words the next time. I recall
Jesus calling the religious people like the Pharisees a few names, but
they claimed to be something they weren't (true men of God.)

they get ruffle our feathers, but the Lord would have us to remain

names. His Hell is too hot for him to just let true believers enjoy life,
he has to try to bring them down to his Hell and sufferings, which he even
sued for and lost, all them mean people didn't like him, and the judge
tossed it out, so even the judge doesn't like him. I wonder if he would
dare call the Judge such a name?

No, I am saying that there are levels of scum that God

complaints down at the precinct, finally refused to take another complaint?
The D.A., the cops, and now a federal court... all of these are now on
record as inept, incompetant, corrupt, or inadequate, in one way or the
other. What Mr Winter fails to realize is that he is just a coward who
hasn't yet admitted that he is working his way up the ladder to blacklisting
God himself, who - he will find - has little interest in Mr Winter's
counsel, in spite of his earnest servanthood in enlisting people to pray
that God would judge them, etc. etc.

Now common sense should make us aware that Satan is going to have
his servants pretending to be "christian teachers", the
difference will be that their teaching will be to undermine the
importance of knowing who Jesus is, AND to undermine the
importance of obeying His Word.
It's the same old story. God says do something, and the devil
teaches that it doesn't really matter.
God says be baptised in Jesus name; the devil's ministers teach
that it doesn't really matter.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and
to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God
shall call.
God says that Jesus name baptism remits the sins of as many as
God will call. The religious filth will come along and say "Oh,
our glorious and wonderful god doesn't really mean that" and then
they will manufacture some emotionally titillating fable of
whatabout this or that...
II Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling [words] of
vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, [through
much] wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who
live in error.
II Peter 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves
are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of
the same is he brought in bondage.
It is a real preachers' job to convince you to obey the Bible,
it's the false preachers job to teach you that you really don't
need to obey the Bible.
Forget the devil's fairy tales, salvation is only for the
obedient.
Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of
eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Relax, if you don't see it Winters way, then he is amazed anyone could see
it differently, so everyone except him is wrong. If God would post, Steve

liar, rethink what he said, and you will see how correct you are, you seem
to take his words as truth, then he is lying, so the truth is just the
opposite of what he said. Read it in that light, and you will see your
correct, he does have a lying spirit. If he ever said a nice word about
you, you then, better should repent and seek God, as you would know then you
in error. As long as lying Steve keeps calling you wrong, you know where
not, liars just can not tell the truth, at lease in his case.
