Beware of those who sow false seeds |
There are those who are who are sowing seeds of doubt against God and His
Holy Word, and more and more, as the end approaches. Be aware friends and
put on the whole armor of God. It is my prayer for all of us and why I
share the following:
"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from
the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them
that dwell upon the earth." Revelation 3:10.
"Satan is now more earnestly engaged in playing the game of life for
souls than at any previous time; and unless we are constantly on our guard,
he will establish in our hearts, pride, love of self, love of the world, and
many other evil traits. He will also use every possible device to unsettle
our faith in God and in the truths of His Word. If we have not a deep
experience in the things of God, if we have not a thorough knowledge of His
Word, we shall be beguiled to our ruin by the errors and sophistries of the
enemy. False doctrines will sap the foundations of man, because they have
not learned to discern truth from error. Our only safeguard against the
wiles of Satan is to study the Scriptures diligently, to have an intelligent
understanding of the reasons of our faith, and faithfully to perform every
known duty. The indulgence of one known sin will cause weakness and darkness
and subject us to fierce temptation.
Are our supplications ascending to God in living faith? Are we opening
the door of the heart to Jesus and closing every means of entrance to Satan?
Are we daily obtaining clearer light and greater strength, that we may stand
in Christ's righteousness? Are we emptying our hearts of all selfishness,
and cleansing them, preparatory to receiving the latter rain from heaven?
Now is the time when we are to confess and forsake our sins, that they may
go beforehand to judgment and be blotted out. Now is the time to "cleanse
ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness
in the fear of God" (2 Cor. 7:1). It is dangerous to delay this work. Satan
is even now seeking by disasters upon sea and land to seal the fate of as
many as possible. What is the defense of the people of God at this time? It
is a living connection with heaven. If we would dwell in safety from the
noisome pestilence, if we would be preserved from dangers seen and unseen,
we must hide in God; we must secure the protecting care of Jesus and holy
angels." In Heavenly Places, p.348.

How can you "sow seeds of doubt" about a patently preposterous concept

plausibility, and no point of contact with reality? and why shpould
anybody place credence in the first place oin words full of holes?
Resorting to hysterical nonsense aboput those who are sensible, and
simply have no truck in the first place with such unsupportable

or are truly psychotic.
Come back with some real evidence or not at all.

According to the list of newsgroups on top here, this was only posted to
religious groups, perhaps you would feel more at home in alt.atheism instead
of trolling over here. (Either you're too stupid to know Christians don't
worship a "sky god" or you're deliberately trolling.)
Actually, the real dichotomy is the attempt to apply Western thought
processes (Aristolean Logic and Hermeutics) to a Book written to an ancient
Eastern people.
You also seem to be too stupid to understand that we are called "believers."
If religion was proveable, we'd be called "knowers."
Fundamentalists are closer to Atheists than they are to believers.
Fundamentalism and Atheism look for proofs, while believers don't need them.
Fundamentalism is not belief, it's a pseudo-science. When you mix pagan
logic with religion, you end up with Fundamentalism and when you mix pagan
logic with science, you end up with Atheism, but belief and religion are the
domain of the heart's wonder at the unknown and unknowable, not logic. When
an Athist looks into the unknown and unknowable, he wants to study it and
when the Fundamentalist looks into the unknow and unknowableness, he wants
to make a doctrine out of it. Agosticism is closer to Belief than
Fundamentalism, when an Agnostic looks into the unknown and unknowable, he
is stuck with the unknowableness of it, while when a believer looks into the
unknown and unknowableness he sees the "handprint" of God.

Stop whining. Free.christians is not a religious group, it is a free
discussion newsgroup which nobody does or can own. None of the others
have charters or faq so there is nothing to violate. I am not the one
with a problem about facing/discussing the truth.
The OP was telling lies about atheists and agnostics, Christians'
stock-in-trade. We have a right to defend ourselves wherever we are
being lied about. Is that OK by you? I didn't think so. Tough.
You are welcome in alt.atheism, as long as you are prepared to offer
concrete matters for discussion and if you don't mind getting
slaughtered in a fair debate.

That is a logical fallacy and not true to fact. If he had a gold fish

For all your worship of logic, you make a false assumption here, just

Since you insist on trolling your Athiest views in the religious

For all your worship of logic, you make a false assumption here, just

If something can only be sustained by belief, it very much does make

BTW & FYI - if you knew a little more about the groups you are trolling --
"Beware of those who sow false seeds" usually refers to other Theists that
the person disagrees with. Probably 99.9% of the time it's a phrase that
would be used by one brand of Fundamentalist against either other brands of
Fundamentalism or other Christian groups the person perceives to be a
"cult." (Note that Fundamentalism isn't the only form of Christianity and
IMO, not even a legitimate form of Christianity...thus, I could say that
Fundamentalists "sow false seeds," I could, but probably wouldn't phrase it
that way.)

Are you saying that atheists "unsettle our faith in God and in the

much credit where it is not due. I understand the lingo the OP used
and she was speaking of false teachers and false prophets. It wasn't
that we could not see what you saw. We weren't looking for it. We
saw what was communicated. You read into what was said. I read what
was said in the light in which it was said. That makes you wrong and
me right as usual:).
I thought is was kewl to catch in you in a booboo. It was a rare
opportunity and I jumped into it for the fun of it; not because I have
contempt or malice towards you. I caught you outside the atheist
group and took advantage of the opporunity.

Either in the thread, I drew a diference between believing and knowing:
Fundamentalists are closer to Atheists than they are to believers.
Fundamentalism and Atheism look for proofs, while believers don't need them.
Fundamentalism is not belief, it's a pseudo-science. When you mix pagan
logic with religion, you end up with Fundamentalism and when you mix pagan
logic with science, you end up with Atheism, but belief and religion is the
domain of the heart's wonder at the unknown and unknowable, not logic. When
an Atheist looks into the unknown and unknowable, he wants to study it and
when the Fundamentalist looks into the unknown and unknowableness, he wants
to make a doctrine out of it. Agnosticism is closer to Belief than
Fundamentalism, when an Agnostic looks into the unknown and unknowable, he
is stuck with the unknowableness of it, while when a believer looks into the
unknown and unknowableness he sees the "handprint" of God.
B. Yahweh is not a "sky fairy" or sky god, he is a Creator God, an
Infinite Being not limited to the sky....you might get further if you

A. The Bible never calls Yahweh a "sky god."
B. As an athiest, you have as much credibility interpreting the Bible as I
would interpreting the Humanist Manifesto.
C. I'm not a Fundamentalist, I'm a Mystic, the Bible does not have to be
factually proven to be spiritually useful.

You also seem to be too stupid to understand that we are called
"believers."
If religion was proveable, we'd be called "knowers."
One thing I definitely am not is stupid, and thanks for confirming
that belief is not knowledge, and is therefore false consciousness.

Since you insist on trolling your Athiest views in the religious
groups, we'll add your group to the discussion.
For all your worship of logic, you make a false assumption here, just
because you don't know something, does not make it false. (I have
heard the
same argument from drunk, high-school drop-outs.)
If something can only be sustained by belief, it very much does make
it false, at least until such time as evidence emerges that supports
it. Where's your evidence that the universe was created by a
paranoid-schizophrenic sky-fairy called Yahweh, other than 'the Bible
says it was' ?
A. You started this, where's your evidence that it wasn't?
Your demand to reverse the burden of proof is itself evidence that it
wasn't. If you had anything at all, you'd produce it instead of playing
that game.
B. Yahweh is not a "sky fairy" or sky god, he is a Creator God, an
Infinite Being not limited to the sky....you might get further if you
were to familiarize yourself with the beliefs of the religious groups
you are trolling in.
You just contradicted the Bible on that.
Fred,
It is not the believer's job to prove his belief. Atheists are
believers and resent it when a believer asks for proof that there is
no God. Christians are believers and do not have to prove their
beliefs. Each of us is required to explain our beliefs only to
ourselves.
Besides, the Christian has the disadvantage of too much evidence for
God while the Atheist has no proof of no God. Atheism requires little
knowledge and little belief. The reason the Christian is
disadvantaged is because it is hard to present truth to a mind that
can hold only one belief.
There is no such thing as an Atheist. An Atheist believes that he is
god and that there is no other god over him. Some of the less honest
Atheists will try to change the meaning of god to a diety so they can
argue that they are not their own god because they are not a diety
when in truth to themselves they are a diety. Others will argue that
they do not believe that they are a god and at the same time argue
that they are the sole rulers of their lives. Pilate said "What is
truth." The Atheist says "What I believe is truth". The Christian
will say "What I believe is truth." What is truth? God knows.
