Object: Blood
Beware of those who would ignore or discount "The
precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot" (1 Peter 1:19).
"We have redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins" (Ephesians 1:7).
"The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from
all sin" (1 John 1:7).
"Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a
propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare
his righteousness for the remission of sins that are
past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I
say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be
just, and the justifier of him which believeth in
Jesus" (Romans 3:24-26).
"While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much
more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall
be saved from wrath through him" (Romans 5:8-9).
"Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in
his own blood" (Revelation 1:5).
"Having made peace through the blood of his cross, by
him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I
say, whether they be things in earth, or things in
heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and
enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he
reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to
present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in
his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and
settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the
gospel" (Colossians 1:20-23).
"This is my blood of the new testament (diatheke),
which is shed for many for the remission of sins"
(Matthew 26:28).
"Jesus the mediator of the new covenant (diatheke),
and to the blood of sprinkling" (Hebrews 12:24).
"Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with
his own blood, suffered without the gate"
(Hebrews 13:12).
"Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy
blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people,
and nation" (Revelation 5:9).
"How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through
the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to
God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve
the living God?" (Hebrews 9:14).
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and
by the word of their testimony; and they loved not
their lives unto the death" (Revelation 12:11).

Beware of those who would ignore or discount "The
precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot" (1 Peter 1:19).

What does this mean?

"We have redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins" (Ephesians 1:7).

Why could blood forgive sins ?

"The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from
all sin" (1 John 1:7).

You have a fixation with blood - would tomato ketchup also cleanseth us from
all sin ? LOL.

More about blood - this doesn't make sense to those of us that aren't a
religious nut.

"While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much
more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall
be saved from wrath through him" (Romans 5:8-9).

Blood again. Why would Jesus be wrathful and how could we be justified by
his blood.

"Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in
his own blood" (Revelation 1:5).

Yep. the red liquid again. I recommend you get some help - fast.

This is where your point is flawed. Lots of people were crucified by the
Romans - your theory is flawed here - stopped reading at this point

Read the bible a few years ago. Cover to cover. It flows with blood.
It's a book of X rated violence done in the name of the LORD. Enough to
turn anyone away from their dinner.

Hello,
Respectfully, would you rather have it 'sugar-coated' so that it was
misleading as to the real world it wrote about?
Do you cringe and 'turn away from your dinner', when you read other
historical documents that describe their nations bloody military
escapades? What about the country you live in. If you don't think that
gory blood and guts were shed in its wars, then take another look.
The Bible gives us the real life historical accounts of the people it
wrote about. Some of the nations that opposed God did terrible things
to their own people, as well as to others. Also, if those people
committed wrongdoing and were punished by God for their wrongdoing,
then that is their fault, not God's. But in the Bible, such writings
were not only historical accounts of past human affairs, but are
warning examples for us when God judged wickedness. (for example see 1
Co 10:11; Ro 15:4) And the Bible shows that God's great judgement day
is fast approaching. (see Ac 17:31; Matthew chapters 24,25)
If you are ignoring the Bible because of its candor as to the conduct
of humans in the past, then it would be wise of you to rethink your
decision.
Sincerely, James
