Assuming that the new jobs are in fact "New."
As others have pointed out, the 300,000 figure includes returning
strikers & construction jobs that couldn't operate in the bad
weather. Neither are "New."
However, what disturbs me is the heavy reliance on part-time
employment. Most everybody counts these people as "Still
looking." And, why not? It's not like they found a job. They've
taken up part-time work in an attempt to stay alive while
searching for a job they can build a future on.
Bush's numbers count all these people as "employed."

Not true. Pointed out on Randy Rhodes yesterday that 70,000 of Bush Boy's
300,000 were striking California grocery workers _returning_ to the job.
So Bush is still zero for 3+ years.

Far be it from me to defend Bush, but if anyone believes that any sort of
inferrence can be drawn from this sort of argument, they are even dumber
than the average American--and that's saying something.
