CAN THE DEVIL RAISE THE WIND?
As we pray and wait the approach of yet another huge storm hurrican
Rita, it is time to reflect, and to pray all the harder that history
will not repeat itself. It is also a time to wonder about spiritual
aspects. Could the devil raise the wind?
"The answer," noted one draft of Sent To Earth, "was in the simple
description of him as 'prince of the power of the air' (Ephesians 2:2).
"Many were the storms that seemed to have a sinister motif, a sense of
true ill-boding, and as we know Christ had seen Satan 'fall from the
sky like lightning' (Luke 10:18). An evil feeling was common to storms.
Definite proof of the devil's work in making destructive storms and
controlling the godless, is in the testing of Job.
Job 1:7-22 GNB The LORD asked him, "What have you been doing?" Satan
answered, "I have been walking here and there, roaming around the
earth." (8) "Did you notice my servant Job?" the LORD asked. "There
is no one on earth as faithful and good as he is. He worships me and is
careful not to do anything evil." (9) Satan replied, "Would Job
worship you if he got nothing out of it? (10) You have always
protected him and his family and everything he owns. You bless
everything he does, and you have given him enough cattle to fill the
whole country. (11) But now suppose you take away everything he
has---he will curse you to your face!"
(12) "All right," the LORD said to Satan, "everything he has is in
your power, but you must not
hurt Job himself." So Satan left. (13) One day when Job's children
were having a feast at the home of their oldest brother, (14) a
messenger came running to Job. "We were plowing the fields with the
oxen," he said, "and the donkeys were in a nearby pasture. (15)
Suddenly the Sabeans attacked and stole them all. They killed every one
of your servants except me. I am the only one who escaped to tell you."
(16) Before he had finished speaking, another servant came and said,
"Lightning struck the sheep and the shepherds and killed them all. I am
the only one who escaped to tell you." (17) Before he had finished
speaking, another servant came and said, "Three bands of Chaldean
raiders attacked us, took away the camels, and killed all your servants
except me. I am the only one who escaped to tell you."
(18) Before he had finished speaking, another servant came and said,
"Your children
were having a feast at the home of your oldest son, (19) when a storm
swept in from the desert. It blew the house down and killed them all. I
am the only one who escaped to tell you." (20) Then Job got up and
tore his clothes in grief. He shaved his head and threw himself face
downward on the ground. (21) He said, "I was born with nothing, and I
will die with nothing. The LORD gave, and now he has taken away. May
his name be praised!" (22) In spite of everything that had happened,
Job did not sin by blaming God.
So the next question is why would God allow Satan to unleash devastion
in the first place?
And the simple answer would be that if people wish to do whatever evil
they please then why shouldn't Satan also be allowed to do whatever he
pleases to those that turned their backs to God.
Luk 21:25 "There will be strange things happening to the sun, the
moon, and the stars. On earth whole countries will be in despair,
afraid of the roar of the sea and the raging tides.
Just recently whole countries are starting to be in despair because of
the flooding from the seas, at least there is some warning with
hurricans unlike the flooding that happened in Indonesia.
Be grateful that it is your properties taken away and not your lives.
Repent and live because the end times are coming and this is but one of

I find it intriguing how the God believers assign all evil things either to
punishment for mans sins or to the Devil. All good happenings are credited
to this make believe God.
How convenient!
Now if this God is the creator of the Universe and EVERYTHING in it he also
create man and the Devil and is therefore responsible for their conduct.

Just like your parents are responsible for your conduct or do you have
freedom of will to conduct yourself in any mannner even in one such as
to disrespect your parents who created you?
(MKJV) if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble
themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal
their land.
