Carl McCasky - There May be a Solution to Your Dilemma |
Carl,
You have gotten yourself into a pickle barrel and can't get out of it.
You can't get direct help from God or the Lord Jesus Christ because
you refuse to be honest and truthful. But God made a way for you to
get out of the mess you got yourself into.
1Co 6:4 KJV
If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them
to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
John Frazier has proven himself to be honorable. I can't remember him
attacking either of us. When the three of us were speaking against
Steve, John presented level headed arguments that were less
"aggresive" than yours or mine.
Ask him to judge whether what you wrote contained an implication that
Glenn was worthy of death and that Glenn had sex with his father's
wife.
I will submit myself to his judgement. How about you?
I know that Usenet is not a church, but I think that we can rely on
the principle pronounced by God through Paul to solve the problem.

Paul didn't solve problems
He created them

That is called figurative language John. I thought you writer types
knew how to tell the difference between the literal and the
figurative.
I'll explain it to you so that you won't have to remain ignorant. A
pickle barrell is a big wooden barrell maybe eight feet tall and
twelve feet across. I haven't seen once since I was a kid on a farm
in Michigan where they produced pickles from cucumbers. I was little
and it was real big to me and had a ladder on its side so that you
could climb up and look into the barrell.
The one that comes to my minds eye had thousands of cucumbers in the
bottom of it. I would say about two feet worth of them and they were
soaking in brine made from salt and water. In the open tank were dead
rats and birds and bugs and anything else that fall into an open tank
in a farm field. It was not a pleasant place to fall into. Evidently
the brine killed what fell into it. Salt, in the word of God, is
spoken of as a seasoning, a preservative, and a disinfectant. It
kills germs.
From what I understand, the cucumbers soaked in the barrell for a
period of time and then were taken out, washed, and pickled.
When I said Carl had gotten himself into a pickle barrell and couldn't
get out, I was inferring that he was where he shouldn't be and because
he was where he shouldn't be doing what he shouldn't do he was in a
place where he needed help to get out of it. There is no ladder on
the inside of a pickle barrel. Help must come from the outside.
So, you see John; you may be a better writer than I, but I do have
life experiences that I can use to help others. Each of us has our
purpose in life.
