So I see the ID Traveling Circus is in Knoxville. If I ever need a good
laugh, I just might go to one of those things. I wonder if they'll have
one in So. California in the near future? I didn't see anything at their
site.

Fortunately, the "proofs" of ID and the creationist perspective
offered surely went in one ear and out the other of most attendees
just as any information they received in their high-school science
classes.
If anything, it's cheering to note that the speakers feel they
HAVE to make it all sound "scientific". This means that the
"authority" of science and scientists has not yet disappeared
entirely.
What would have worried me more than the pro-ID rants themselves
would have been if they'd spent a lot more time coaching the
faithful on how to best infiltrate and/or disrupt school boards,
school staff plus local state and federal educational policy-
making entities. It is possible to "win" this kind of battle
without being correct, popular or even logical - simply by
manipulating the system. All that's required is persistence.

A tad premature to declare the investigations over.
I'm sure the gadget produced SOME - of the thousands - of chemicals
used by life. But a few ain't enough and then they've got to get
together "just right".
