Today's Daily Encounter
1. Vision
"Where there is no revelation [prophetic vision], the
people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps
the law [of God]" (Proverbs 29:18, NKJV).
Some 350 or more years ago a shipload of travelers
landed on a distant land. The first year they
established a town site. The next year they elected a
town government. The third year the town government
planned to build a road five miles westward into the
wilderness.
In the fourth year the people tried to impeach their
town government because they thought it was a waste of
public funds to build a road five miles westward into a
wilderness. Who needed to go there anyway?
Here were people who had the vision to see three
thousand miles across an ocean and overcome great
hardships to get there. But in just a few years they
were not able to see even five miles out of town. They
had lost their pioneering vision and certainly had no
prophetic vision of what God's plan was for this
nation yet to be.
With a clear vision of what we can become and achieve
in Christ, no ocean of difficulty is too great. As
individuals, organizations, churches, and a nation
without a vision of what God wants us to be and do we
will eventually demise, "for without a vision the
people perish."
Suggested prayer: "Dear God, please open the eyes of
my understanding and give me a vision of what you are
doing in the world in which I live and see clearly how
I can be a part of your plans. Thank you for hearing
and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus' name,
amen."

been received. With the advent of new Spam Blocking
tools (built into aol.com and other services), some of
the emails you want to see are automatically placed
in your Bulk/Junk/Spam folder. So, you never get a
chance to open the email.
Daily and Weekend Encounters are sent from
so in three easy steps, you can
revise the blocking software to allow emails from
emails in your Inbox:
1. Open your email software and go to your email
Address Book. Press Add Contact.
2. Enter '' (without the quotes)
in one of the email address fields.
3. Press Save.
Or, if you find an email or Daily
or Weekend Encounter in your Spam/Junk/Bulk email
Folder:
1. Go to your Spam/Junk/Bulk email Folder in your
email software.
2. Select any email from .
3. Press the "Not Spam" button.
If you still don't receive your Daily or Weekend
Encounter, please contact your server to find out
how to stop them being blocked.
18. If You Get a Bounced Email Message
Bounced messages are automatically sent by our
server because your copy of Daily Encounter is
having difficulty reaching your email inbox. This
can happen if your email inbox is too full or if
your server is overloaded with too many email
messages being sent at the same time Daily Encounter
is being sent. It is a test to make sure your email
address is still valid. If you keep getting Daily
Encounter, don't worry about it.
