What educational opportunities are there for my deaf/hard of hearing child?

There is no lack of educational opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing
children. The secret is in knowing where to look, and once you start finding
information, resources, and schools, the challenge is in deciding what type
of school is appropriate for your child. There are residential schools,
charter schools specializing in bilingual/bicultural education, day schools,
oral schools, and public schools (some have "programs" for deaf and hard of
hearing students). The NAD supports a continuum of educational resources.
