Object: Death of the apostles!
Dear Friends -
Well how do we prove the resurrection to someone who does not have
FAITH? There are many great proofs; however, what happened to the 12
apostles, is some of the best. Someone might be strange enough to die
for a lie. However, ALL 12 of the apostles died martyrs deaths for
the TRUTH of the resurrection. YES – ABSOLUTELY 100% of them died
deaths proving the truth of the resurrection. The only one we are not
certain about is John, but we do know they tried to martyr John by
boiling him in oil, and John would not cook.
So what did ever happen to the Apostles, those 12 CLOSEST, VERY
ELECT, who were CALLED and CHOSEN by the Lord Jesus Christ in person,
to be with Him and establish the doctrine of Yeshua THE Messiah,
Jesus THE Christ? What happened to those witnesses of the
RESURRECTION?
We know that one of them, by the name of Judas, betrayed the Lord
Jesus Christ and committed suicide by hanging himself. One of the
Lord's closest, chosen, very elect betrayed Him. Why should it
surprise us when so called "Christian" brothers betray us? Yet, that
damnable Judas, satanic spirit of betrayal, still wrecks havoc in the
body of Messiah to this day.
Paul was the Apostle, whom the Lord Jesus Christ chose to replace
Judas. The other apostles, before they had the Holy Ghost, chose a
replacement named Matthias; however, the one chosen by the Lord Jesus
Christ was the Apostle Saul or Paul. Paul was the first and most
legendary of all missionaries. Paul labored more abundant than any of
the other Apostles. He was beaten with stripes so many times that he
lost count. He was often imprisoned. He was threatened with death
more times than he kept count. The Jews, five times, beat him almost
to death with 39 stripes. Three times he was beaten with rods. Once
Paul was stoned. Three times he suffered shipwreck, and spent a night
and a day in the sea. He had many a dangerous journey. He was often
in danger of storms at sea. Often he was threatened by robbers. He
spent many dangerous days in the wilderness. His heart seemed to ache
most over the things which Paul suffered among false brethren. Paul
worked in exhaustion, pain, hunger, thirst, cold, nakedness, and had
many, many, fasts, which were forced upon him by his circumstances.
Many, nights he could not safely sleep. He was beheaded in Rome.
Simon, Peter, if we could believe Roman Catholic tradition, was
crucified upside down in Rome. This Roman Catholic tradition, like so
many others, is false, and is used in their many works of
priestcraft. The fact is, that Peter never was in Rome, and certainly
never was the Bishop of Rome, or the first pope. That is just 100%
baloney. These are among the many false teachings of the Roman
Catholic Church. Peter ministered to the Jews in Jerusalem and was
not even the Bishop of the Jerusalem Church. Peter also ministered in
Asia, but there is no reason to believe that Peter was ever in Rome.
Rome is not among the places that Peter mentioned in his letters.
When Paul greeted the saints in Rome, he mentions over 34 saints and
specific churches in Rome by name. Had Peter been at Rome, or had
been known by any of those 34 saints and various churches in Rome,
you may be certain that Paul would have greeted Peter. The plain
simple facts of honest history, and the scriptures, are that Peter
never was in Rome. Peter did however die a martyr's death, on a
cross. Peter's grave is on the Mount of Olives just outside the walls
of Jerusalem. Also, don't believe the Roman Catholic story that the
cross was upside down. That story and tradition is used only to
justify the upside down symbol of Satan on the pope's throne chair.
Andrew died a martyr's death by crucifixion.
James, the brother of John, was one of he sons of Zebedee, AKA, the
sons of thunder. He preached in Jerusalem. James was arrested in the
temple and was beheaded by Herod.
John, the beloved, the brother of James, and the other son of
thunder, preached in Asia Minor, mainly in Ephesus. He was banished
to a Roman slave prison on Patmos. Before being banished, the Romans
had tried to boil John in oil. He did not die. He was miraculously
protected from the effects of the boiling oil. This miraculous
deliverance began the legend that John did not die. John was perhaps
the ONLY Apostle that did not die a martyr's death.
James, the younger, was the half-brother of Jesus and writer of the
Epistle of James. He was the leader or Bishop of the Jerusalem Church
of which Peter was also an elder in submission to James. This fact of
history and the Word of God, blows popery to smithereens. It is
certain that James did die the death of a martyr. Since James did
some ministry in Egypt there are 2 possibilities regarding the death
of James. There is a tradition of him being crucified in Egypt.
However, the other account of James death by early historians is that
he was thrown from the pinnacle of the temple in Jerusalem, is more
likely.
Jude was the half-brother of Jesus and writer of the Epistle of Jude.
He preached in Assyria and Persia. Jude was martyred in Persia.
Philip preached in Phrygia and was martyred there.
Matthew, or Levi, the tax collector who became an Apostle and writer
of the gospel was martyred in Ethiopia.
Thomas, or Didymus, preached in Syria, Persia, and India. Thomas was
martyred by being shot by a shower of arrows as he was praying.
Simon, Zelotes, preached in Judea and was crucified.
Only be very strong and of good courage. We do – ABSOLUTELY YES, we
Do have a blessed hope of the resurrection. Glory to God. Alleluia
Yeshua. Phil 1:28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which
is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation,
and that of God. When some antichrist demoniac thug wants to threaten
you with eternity, just remember that heaven is not that bad. We have
many great and most credible witnesses of that blessed hope. Alleluia
Yeshua.
Shalom & Simcha,
