Devotional Guide
For the week of November 30, 2003
AMERICA COMES OF AGE; DECEMBER 7, 1941
Define the antichrist
To Read: Malachi 1-4
To Know:
"And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and to test him they asked him to
show them a sign from heaven. He answered them, 'When it is evening, you
say, 'it will be fair weather; for the sky is red.' And in the morning, 'it
will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.' You know how to
interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of
the times.'" (Matt. 16:1-3)
On December 1, 1941 the signs of a Japanese sneak attack against the United
States were there to be deciphered. On this day 62 years ago President
Franklin Roosevelt read an intercepted dispatch from Japan to Germany
alerting Hitler that extreme danger existed between the Japanese and
Anglo-Saxons. That same day Nomura, the Japanese Ambassador to the United
States, was instructed to continue diplomatic negotiations in order to allay
the suspicions of American policy makers. Also on that same day the Japanese
changed their secret code for an unprecedented second time in less than a
month. Japan needed America to believe it was at peace when, in fact, it was
only six days from all-out war.
To Do:
The sign that we live in the end times is here to be deciphered. Antichrist
is the sign of the end. Thus John declares, "Children, it is the last hour;
and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists
have come; therefore we know that it is the last hour." (1 Jn.2:18)
Antichrist denies that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus
affirmed Peter's confession that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the
living God. This knowledge was given to Peter by the Father in heaven. When
all those that are appointed to know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of
the living God, come to personal faith, then the present age will close and
Christ will return to us. These are critical days. If anyone realizes that
he is following antichrist and not Jesus Christ, it is time to turn to the
Lord.
To Ask:
Father, open many hearts to your truth.

Sure, be glad to. We need to look to the Word of God for the
correct answer.
All trinity cults are equally antichrist with their mother church
as they are merely "Catholic lite"™.
The Bible gives a warning concerning antichrist religions.
note: (the numbers are from Strong's concordance)

2 John 1:7.
For many <4183> deceivers <4108> are entered <1525> into
<1519> the world <2889>, who <3588> confess <3670> not that
Jesus <2424> Christ <5547> is come <2064> in the flesh
<4561>. This <3778> is a deceiver <4108> and an antichrist <500>.

** note the actual definition of "Jesus" **

2424 I/esous [3091]
AV - Jesus (972)
- Jesus (Joshua) (2)
- Jesus (Justus) (1) [975]
1) Joshua meaning "Jehovah is salvation"...

Since the trinity theory does not teach that "Jehovah savior"
came in the flesh, but rather teaches that a "second person", or
"junior deity" came in the flesh; it would appear that according
to the Bible, the trinity theory is an antichrist doctrine...

There is also another group of verses that warn particularly
against polytheistic theories, and further declare them capable
of "spoiling".

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy
and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments
of the world, and not after Christ.
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead
bodily.
Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of
all principality and power:

Consider also that when man "makes up" his own "gods" (and if
people didn't get a measure of peace and satisfaction they
wouldn't have been worshipping creations of their own minds for
centuries).

Jeremiah 5:7 How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have
forsaken me, and sworn by [them that are] no gods: when I had fed
them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled
themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

Jeremiah 16:20 Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they [are]
no gods?

Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in
the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid
themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of
the garden.

According to the trinity there must have been 5 pair of feet
walking in the garden in this verse. 1 pair for Adam, 1 pair for
Eve and three pair for the trinity that they were hiding from.
Of course the more scholarly of the trinitarians might suggest
that there were only 4 pair of feet actually walking because god
person #2 was riding on the right hand of god person #1.

Also considering the trinitarian attempt to preach plural gods
from Gen 1:26:

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after
our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the
sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over
all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon
the earth.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image
of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Shouldn't verse 27 read "created they them"? And if the
"trinity" of three created Adam in "their image", where are the
other two Adam persons? We need two other "persons" here. I
mean, if one "person" can sit on the other "person"'s right hand
then where were Adam's two "co-equal" persons. Then we would
need a trinity of wives.

The Number of the Beast
by Edward T. Babinski

Hi Ed,

I have been away from my faith for three years now. My husband has
decided to stay with his faith. He is a pentecostal (Church of God). He
asked me tonight to explain to him how that I have come to believe that
the Bible is not true. He says that the book of Revelation is proof that
the God of the Bible is the true God because of the Mark of the Beast and
the moneyless society that is prophecied to come. Can you give me
something that I can say to him on this?

ED: There are many evangelical Christians on the web who are called
"Preterists" and they argue that the Mark of the Beast refers to Nero, a
famous Roman Emperor who persecuted Christians. In fact the Mark of the
Beast is 666 in some copies of Revelation and 616 in other copies, and the
letters of "Neron Ceaser" add up to 666 in Greek and 616 in Latin.
Preterists go into great detail concerning this matter since it separates
their view from that of Dispensationalists. If you google (www.google.com)
Mark of the Beast Preterism (type all those words into the google search
box) you will come up with lots of matches and explanations. Preterism is
one way that some Evangelicals explain the delay of Jesus' prophecied
return, their explanation is that most of the prophecies and predictions
refer to things happening in the days of the apostles like the "destruction
of Jerusalem," and hence do not refer to things happened in our own day.
Preterists and Dispensationalists have been going at it now for a long time
with their different interpretations of Scripture.
(The mainstream scholarship view is that Jesus was influenced by the
apocalyptic end of the world expectations held by some folks in his day, and
that Jesus simply made a false prediction and that Jesus predicted the final
judgment soon after the destruction of Jerusalem, but few Evangelicals want
a failable Jesus, so they resort to either Dispensationalism or Preterism.
When in doubt, play them off one another, invite your husband read both
sides, since the Preterists and Dispensationalists both agree that the Bible
is Holy and God does not lie, and that the Holy Spirit "leads them into all
truth."
Here's one Preterist article on why the mark of the beast refers to Nero, an
ancient roman Emperor, not to today:
http://www.ecclesia.org/truth/beast.html
You can google more such articles
And the mainstream view is given in my article on the web, "THE LOWDOWN ON
GOD'S SHOWDOWN," that many have said they enjoyed and that helped them get
over their fears of Bible predictions being applied to today's latest
headlines.

and other "prophecies" of the Bible.

Define the antichrist

The word 'christ', or 'messiah', two words that were alternately
derived by different translation routes of the same initial word,
means 'the annointed one' in Hebrew.
An early example of this is Exodus 29 and 30 and Leviticus 8.
Probably, the most famous series of examples of this in ancient times,
however, was the series of annointings in 1 Samuel 9 and 10, 1 Samuel
15 and 16, and 1 Kings 1:32-40. Saul is also known of as the
'unannointed' because of 1 Samuel 13-16.
Another example is in 2 Kings 9:1-10.
After Jesus Christ there was also Bar Cocheba and Sabbati Zevi in
later time periods.
The prefix 'anti', generally tends to mean 'counter to' or 'against'.

Misty,

you're quite right. I'm the anti-christ's high priestess of fellatio. please
stop telling people about us though, we'd like to spring ourselves on the
true believers when they're not looking, if it's not too much trouble.
