be tormented, tortured and taunted at every turn of the road. Do the world

Election 2000. And please, take that intellectual wiffle-ball, Michael
Moore, with you. Too bad he's an American semi-human; he could feed a

Around The Garden Center.
Last Thursday, it began snowing on-and-off, until early Friday morning, and
we wound-up with another 2¼" of white stuff, making a mess on the roads,
but a beautiful landscape portrait. It was a wet, heavy snow clinging to
everything, and with temps in the mid-30°Fs, it melted quickly where I'd
plowed and the underlying macadam/ crushed bluestone, was exposed.
Telephone and walk-in traffic, was surprisingly moderate.
According to The Farmer's Almanac, we've still got some blizzards coming
later this month, and into March, before Spring gets here.
Temperatures moderated this past week, with 50°Fs being the norm. We've
got at least 6-7 weeks of Winter left, so I won't be breaking out the t-
shirts anytime soon.
I slept-in 'til around noon on Sunday, and spent the rest of the day doing
pretty much nothing but watching TV on my computer. For the first time in
many years, I watched some of the 2nd half of the *Stupor Bowl 39*, in
between other shows on the Discovery, History, A&E channels, TNT Network
and Fox News. It was almost 50°F and I had all the windows open, and the
cats were enjoying the fresh air.

Goode Jr, Virginia Republican, will introduce a resolution today calling on
the president not to submit the agreement to Congress. And US Rep J.D.
Hayworth, Arizona Republican, has prepared another resolution to block the
deal, called a totalization agreement, if and when the administration

No, I don't think that GW Bush is a candidate for Mt Rushmore, but more
than any president since Abraham Lincoln, he's faced-down all challenges. I

The fact that President Bush has scrapped almost 9,800 border patrol
agents, along the US-Mexico border, in his 2006 Budget, worries me even
more. Millions of illegal aliens are pouring across the border, and dozens,
