Object: Devil kills, God protects!
Exodus 12:23-24 (NRSV)
23 For the Lord will pass through to strike down the Egyptians; when
he sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord
will pass over that door and will not allow the destroyer to enter
your houses to strike you down. 24 You shall observe this rite as a
perpetual ordinance for you and your children.
Humm!!
God prevents the Destroyer from killing Israel first born children.
Job 1:8-12 (NRSV)
8 The Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There
is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man who fears
God and turns away from evil." 9 Then Satan answered the Lord, "Does
Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have you not put a fence around him and
his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the
work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11
But stretch out your hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will
curse you to your face." 12 The Lord said to Satan, "Very well, all
that he has is in your power; only do not stretch out your hand
against him!" So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
Humm!!
God protects Job from Satan and then allows Job to be tested by Satan
but God does not allow Satan to kill Job.
Revelation 6:3-4 (NRSV)
3 When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature
call out, "Come!" 4 And out came another horse, bright red; its rider
was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people would
slaughter one another; and he was given a great sword.
Humm!!
God removes His protection, people kill each other.
Concluding remarks:
-------------------------
There is no peace from the Devil unless God protects people. The more
people turn from God, the less they are protected by God, the easier
they are destroyed by the Devil.
So why do so many dabble with the demonic when God is protecting them
from the destruction that these vile creature would otherwise bring on
these people?
Ezekiel 18:23 (NRSV)
23 Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God,
and not rather that they should turn from their ways and live?

I support anyone's right to believe whatever utter nonsense they
choose to adhere to. But attempt to legislate those beliefs and all
hell breaks loose. ther is not a religion on the planet that doesn't
see itself as being not only in possession of the truth ; but the only
truth there ever was .I do not oppose religion , as I said ; to do so
is tyranny.but religion has done more to maim, injure and destroy ,than
any other single factor in human history.you look after your soul and
I'll look after mine.Historically, terms like heretic and infidel cost
untold millions of lives. In more recent times the concept of the
correct interpretation of the Bible has been the aetiology of slavery,
segregation, apartheid , and homophobia. All of which are the fruits of
forcing one's "true" beliefs on others. Religion is based on faith;not
facts. It's tenets, unlike the principles and theories of science, can
never be proven or disproven. One of the orders from the deity of the
Old Testament says that errant sons are to be taken before the elders
of the community and killed ."happy shall be they who smash the heads
of the young ones against the rocks ." Give me a break !! Religion
did to ***** what Stonehenge did to rocks . In any event, bring
your deity over some time .I'd like to have a chat with the sob .In
the present era of terrorism, which is,according to the actual
terrorists,a battle against infidels , for the true deity,Allah, I am
truly disgusted when I hear of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd holiest cities in
an area that is so profoundly dysfunctional, some of it's young men
came to our continent and murdered thousands of innocents in one
tragic day . Christian terrorists mudered the innocent in Oklahoma
City .But they would claim to be freedom fighters for Jesus. Muslim
terrorists did the same ,on 9/11, for the sake of Allah , and to
acquire the added bonus of 72 virgins .Grow up .If it were only a
matter of academic discussion ; no big deal .But your claim; any of
you; to be right, to the exclusion of all others ; costs the lives of
innocent men, women & children. The fact of the matter is; if there is
any truth to any part of what you believe ; you are in deep doo-doo
spiritually.

It is all primitive superstition so we should not expect anything to make sense.

A King takes pity on two filthy tramps and invites them into his home.
One tramp totally disrespects that king while the other to the best of
that tramp ability respects that king. Would any of you keep that
disrespectful tramp in your home forever?
If you see God is in the process of doing something, don't get in the
way otherwise it may cost you dearly!

People are filled with sin making them filthy, some seek to please God
while others think that they are gods. There will come a time when
these so called gods will be kicked out of God's kingdom to face the
reality of there insolence.

Psalm 14:1-6 (NRSV)
Psalm 14
1 Fools say in their hearts, "There is no God."
They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds;
there is no one who does good.
2 The Lord looks down from heaven on humankind
to see if there are any who are wise,
who seek after God.
3 They have all gone astray, they are all alike perverse;
there is no one who does good,
no, not one.
4 Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers
who eat up my people as they eat bread,
and do not call upon the Lord?
5 There they shall be in great terror,
for God is with the company of the righteous.
6 You would confound the plans of the poor,
but the Lord is their refuge.

Job 1:8-12 (NRSV)
8 The Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There
is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man who fears
God and turns away from evil." 9 Then Satan answered the Lord, "Does

Job 1:4-5 (ASV)
4And his sons went and held a feast in the house of each one upon his
day; and they sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to
drink with them. 5And it was so, when the days of their feasting were
gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in
the morning, and offered burnt-offerings according to the number of
them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and
renounced God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
It's Job that was pleasing God not his sons.

By that stage most of God's people are out and there is almost nothing
but the murders and godless left. God no longer protect them from
themselves.

because that what you resemble the most in attitude and deed.

But he didn't do it when they were there. Christians get killed and

Most people who don't see any evidence for God don't see any evidence
for the Devil either. Just a world where life competes for resources
and where it has to struggle for existenced and quality of life.
