Here is what Pam Crouch wrote in a previous post, "MacNutt was praying for
those who had needs) my mom was healed of cancer." If your mother was healed
of cancer why is she taking cancer Medication?
I found strange that MacNutt healed cancer and could not heal a consusion on
the head of a believer who fell down on the concrete floor after he slain
her in the spirit ?
In one of his conferences Francis MacNutt explained how a woman he had
prayed for was slain in the Spirit and fell down on the concrete floor--
'hitting the back of her head with a horrendous cracking noise ... Obviously
injured; naturally we gathered 'round and started praying. After a while she
smiled and got up, saying she would be fine. But that night her roommate
came knocking at my door saying that a lump was rising on the back of her
friend's head and asking if she would be lacking in faith if she took her to
a doctor. I encouraged her to do that immediately. She was taken to the
emergency room where she was diagnosed with concussion and was immediately
hospitalized' (MacNutt, Ibid., pp. 170,171).
Francis MacNutt also told of another incident:
'More recently [1989] a federal jury has ordered evangelists Charles and
Frances Hunter to pay $300,000 in damages to a 67-year-old woman who was
hurt when she fell over backward during one of their healing services.
Evelyn Kuykendall of Maxville, North California, fractured her back and
spent two months in the hospital following the accident' (Ibid., p. 171).
Francis MacNutt then confessed: 'I learned to be cautious and to ask for
catchers to stand by anytime I think that people might fall' (Ibid.).
It is interesting to note that these healers could not heal the injured
persons after their fall was provoked by the Charismatic and Pentecostal
spirits they received! When the Holy Spirit transported Philip, nobody
cushioned Philip's landing, can you imagine these ministers need catchers to
assist these spirits they are claiming to be God when they violently project
their victims to the ground from a standing position!
As Francis MacNutt said, he is cautious to use the help of catchers when he
is making uninformed believers fall backward. Paul revived Eutychus when he
accidentally fell from the third floor and this was not at all related to
any spiritual manifestations. Francis MacNutt could not even heal that lady
who fell just from a standing position after his anointing made her fall
backward and Pam Crouch wants the readers to believe this Minister healed
her mother of Cancer!
