Can you ever say anything positive about a fundamental Christian?

Presumably what John posted is a matter of public record, and if people are
going to make misdemeanours that is one of the things that happens to them
in a democracy - people find out about it. You probably are vewwy wibberal
and would like people to get off scot free for assault on minors, but see
how you feel if it happens, which God forbid, to someone you care about.
I have no idea whether this individual is in anyway related to the Steve
Winter of these groups. I have a business card of a Steve Winter I met in
London in may, but I am pretty sure he's not related to him either. And I
went to school with a Graham Winter. His Dad ran the "Wavy Line" grocery
store, which was taken over by a potential Al Qaeda supporter and then went
bust because of the rise of out of town supermarkets and turned first into a
betting shop and of late to a traditional fish and chip shop. I went
scrumping apples and plums with him a few times. Obviously I repent of that
now.

Winter's son?

Amen to the last part. My son who is 35 took a vacation in his early
twenties, but came back after less than a year. It isn't a good
feeling. I read somewhere that Steve dropped his Pastor title for a
while after it happened. I only hope that he and his son worked
things out with God.

fact tends to make your "inquiry" motive ... shall we say ... just a little
SUSPECT?
What interest could you possibly have in this information anyway?
One must ask out loud why you would have to post all of that information,
in great detail, just to find out of Steve Winter's son got arrested. A
discreet question would, perhaps, have been a little more genuine.
You are not supposed to repay evil for evil or take revenge. (Romans
12:27,19.) This is what people think you are doing by what you have
posted. You search your own heart and determine whether that is true. (1
Corinthians 11:31.) But DO search. And if it is true, then you should
repent and ask forgiveness.
I feel for Steve Winter because of this situation, and offer my moral

It has long been my habit to compare what people say or write in
conversations to what the scriptures say. Few people quote the
scriptures accurately. Most people add to, take away from, or change
what the scriptures say as Eve did back in Genesis.
As I read your last paragraph I caught the false statement about the
Lord Jesus Christ being God and the false statement about Jesus Christ
having children, but didn't pay that much attention to them. I
noticed the singular "fruit" instead of the plural "fruits," too; but
what caught my eye was your addition of the words "they bare". Jesus
said:

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or
figs of thistles?
Jesus was speaking of false prophets and spoke figuratively by
Metaphor and Allegory using the plural "fruits" to represent quality
of life that results from the spirititual influences in them - fruit
of the spirit - the good kind is singular. False prophets (plural)
produce bad fruits (plural), but those that walk by the one spirit of
God experience one fruit (the clump love) made up of little fruits.

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Fruit of spirit can only be what the source can produce. God is holy,
love, and spirit. Therefore, the fruit that comes from God can only
reveal or be the product of the nature of God. The fruit produced by
false prophets can only be what the dark spirit's nature contains. A
false prophet is one who produces false light, speaks untruth, and
there is a law against false prophets (Deu 13:1-5) and that law
requires the death penalty. There is no law against the product that
stems from the nature of God.
I am not rambling, there is a point. When you added the word "bare"
it changed the sense of what Jesus said. We are to know false
prophets who are worthy of death by their fruits (plural) not by the
fruit (singular) they bare (Gr. bastazo, carry). It's not what they
carry that is important. What is important is what they give or
transfer; or more accurately what is transfered through them to
others. Jesus was pointing to the source of the fruits and the
methods of transfer. As long as the false prophets are just carriers
of the virus, they do no harm; but when they transfer the virus, they
do harm to those the virus is transfered into (faith cometh by
hearing).
With regard to Jesus being God. The Scriptures say that Jesus Christ
is the Son of God. Jesus is called a "god" in the sense of ruler in a
couple verses; but Jesus and the Father are two separate individuals
who are united in purpose but not body. Jesus Christ is our advocate,
our defense attorney, and can not be both defense attorney and judge.
He can not be the Father and the Son.
1 Timothy 2:5 KJV
For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus;
Jesus Christ is flesh and bone. God is Spirit. God is Spirit and
Jesus Christ is man.
Jesus Christ could not be the father because Jesus Christ is not
married YET. The bridegroom (church of the body with Christ as head)
has not been married to the bride (Israel) so there can be no children
yet because Jesus Christ is not an adulterer that produces *****
children.
To accuse Jesus Christ of being God is to accuse Jesus Christ of sin.
To accuse Jesus Christ of being the father of ***** children is to
accuse Jesus Christ of sin. To worship Jesus Christ as the Father is
idolatry.
The doctrine of the trinity and the doctrine of the Jesus God are
false doctrines propogated by false prophets. We know this because we
know that the fruits produced by false prophets is against the Law.
Idolatry is agains the Law. Confessing Jesus as God is against the
Law, but confessing Jesus as Lord and the Son of God is not against
the Law.
