Dividing Trust |
There has been a rampant
Protestant Rebellion against
the gospel of the Protestant Reformation.
Salvation by grace alone thru faith alone
in Christ alone is often professed
but then denied by teaching the opposite.
The notable exceptions are
some Lutherans and Presbyterians
who actually teach what they profess,
faith alone in Christ alone,
but do not explicitly tell people
that they must not divide
their trust between Christ
and anything else for salvation;
so even there people suppose
that they are "playing it safe"
by trusting in their efforts to repent,
submit, obey, be baptized, etc.,
not realizing that no one is saved
unless they place ALL their trust
for salvation in CHRIST ALONE.
God always wants repentance,
but you must not trust
in your efforts to repent to save you;
your faith must be totally in Christ,
and none in your repentance,
baptism, church, or sacrament.
