been providing both a Gideon Bible and the Book of Mormon in
their hotel rooms -- in Massachusetts.
Sheesh.
I'm a "liberal" (I'll keep it simple for the right-wingers out there)
who doesn't object to the Bible being sent this way. As long as it
isn't forced on me, I'll take a free copy. I've actually given thought
to reading it some day (I'm being serious). I'm interested in it because
it is obviously [a] force in the world, and interesting in a historical
consequence. Of course, the "Christian community" had twisted
its meaning like the terrorists have twisted the Koran. They use it
to justify hatred and celebrate ignorance, by overlooking some
teachings and emphasizing others.
AS a member of the 94% of the USA's professing Christians who
has nothing at all whatsoever to do with the RRR cult (the other 6%,
who keeps getting the rest of us painted with the Bigotry Brush
that only the **RRR** deserves), or its loathsome agendas against
human rights and personal liberties -- I respectfully request that you
*make* that vitally-important distinction.
If all the folks that we fair-minded and egalitarian Christians
support and defend (gays, women, minorities, those who practice
freedom of speech & press in the web, on TV, and elsewhere,
devotees of the right to gamble if they so desire, etc.) were to see
all of those with whom we are allied placing the blame for bigotry
squarely where it BELONGS -- on the head of the RRR cultists,
and not on Christians as a whole -- that it's a safe bet that **MORE**
fair-minded Christians would probably become activists in your
behalf. But as long as the brush continues to be applied
inappropriately, there'll continue to be a LOT of normal Christians
who are offended by that unfair treatment, and will see no point
in going to the mat for you.
As for me -- please permit me to clarify. The fair-minded
Christians who *actively* support your rights, and fight for them,
and for the day when America can at last become a Bigotry-Free
Zone, like me, and countless others who do that in varying de-
grees, KNOW that most of those whom we support who disparage
"Christians" indiscriminately, LITERALLY "know not what they do."
The RRR cult is as afraid of the **truth** exposing their hypocrisies,
irrational hate, and the loathsomeness of their agendas as Dracula
was of sunlight, crosses, and wooden stakes. Its leaders COUNT
on their cloaking their lemmings and themselves with the cloak
of respectability that Christianity affords them. If the cult can
continue to be misperceived by the public as being "the Christians,"
that is where their strength lies. If that deceptive cloak is removed,
they'll be about as effective as Sampson was right after he was
given his haircut.
Their strategy has been working -- so far. Let me tell you why
with an analogy.
On a winter day, when the sun's rays slant in to the earth's
surface at a shallow angle, and thus are dispersed over a greater
area than would happen in the summer, you can put a chocolate
bar out on the sidewalk on a bright and sunny day and see it retain
its integrity. Let's say that a square centimeter is receiving "X"
number of photons per second in winter, but at noontime on the
summer solstice, that number might be 10X photons. And an
intensity of as little as 4X photons/second might be all that the
candy bar could stand without melting. So on the summer day,
the candy readily melts.
The RRR can resist being melted down ONLY for as long as
the opponents of bigotry (the egalitarian activists) continue to
DISPERSE their energies against Christianity as a WHOLE.
The RRR cult CANNOT survive a ***FOCUSSED*** barrage
of opposition to their agendas that targets them *directly*, full
force, that would *not* be wasting any energy on the innocent
or apathetic Christians who have nothing to do with the RRR.
So I respectively ask you to get out a big magnifying glass
whenever you seek to oppose bigotry, and hold it directly
between the sun (your criticisms, or whatever other tactics
you are employing) and the RRR cult's leaders and its brain-
washed and programmed lemmings.
Christianity may be wounded by the efforts of uninformed
egalitarians who disperse their energies against it. But it will
survive that. (And believe me, if you knew the truth, you would
WANT for it to. It's billions of people, worldwide, are NOT your
enemy. And it *includes* MOST of your ALLIES!) In fact, the
RRR cult splinter of PSEUDO-Christians and badly-deluded
Christians just barely even *exists* outside of the United States.
Your enemy is TINY in numbers, compared to Christianity as a
whole. Merely 6% of the 84% of America's professing Christians.
Just for fun, let's see how many people that is.
Start with the USA's having 290,000,000 people.
Factor out the ones who are too young to have much
impact on the scheme of things. That leaves around
230,000,000 people.
Per the Gallup Poll, done just last year, 83% of Americans
are professing Christians. That's about 191 million Americans.
Only 6% of America's **professing** Christians are RRR cultists.
(And the RRR is where you'll find most of the PSEUDO-Christians
who are using the respectable mantle of Christianity as leverage
for pursuing their agendas... and ALL of the **deluded** ACTUAL
Christians who had been conned into supporting the RRR's
agendas. In most cases, those latter probably are coming out of
the 2% of Americans who have IQs of 62 and below; a pool of
5,800,000 people whose ignorance and gullibility make them
prime targets for lemminghood by the RRR's leadership. (Fortun-
ately, their common sense, and sense of fairness, has been suf-
ficient to keep many of those from being conned.) As ludicrous
and hateful as the RRR's agendas are, those leaders desperately
NEED to con as many such people as they can, and thus they
very actively TARGET them. The RRR's leaders are vicious,
hateful, unscrupulous, and are a **perfect fit** for the "False
Teachers" that the Bible prophesied for the latter days.
6% of 191,000,000 is only 11,460,000.

November 2nd BECAUSE their agendas were the most important
issue to them. That's 6,303,000 votes for Bush. Almost exactly
the number that he WON by.
(A quick aside: Is that WHY he won? Partially... but insuf-
ficient numbers of Americans recognizing Bush's obvious
faults ALSO contributed. The RRR's contribution to Bush's
election was NO mandate from the people on *that* basis.
And 51-48 percent of the popular vote isn't even a mandate
at all!) ]]
Okay. There we are. Out of ALL Americans, only a mere
5% are RRR cultists who support the cult's loathsome agendas
in varying degrees. And out of those who are America's
**professed** CHRISTIANS... that's only a mere 6% of *them.*
If an egalitarian directs his energy against **Christianity**, 94%
of his energy is going to waste, and the mere 6% that remains is
too impotent to have much impact on the RRR cult. (And when
one considers that Christianity in general is comprised of about two
BILLION (with a "B") people, worldwide, that means that only
about **1/3 of 1%** is receiving the pellets being fired from the
shotgun. (To express it in decimal form, that's 0.035%.) That's a
VERY wide -- and impotent -- pattern of dispersal.
If the RRR cult were a pheasant, he'd laugh at the hunter and
fly off almost totally unscathed.
So let's shine the sunlight on Dracula. Drive a wooden stake
through his loathsome heart.
The RRR cult IS vulnerable. All we need to do is FOCUS
on it, for IT is the **real** enemy.
When Christianity as a whole is targeted instead, it's not only
a waste of energy, but it's a turn-off to millions of Christians who
might otherwise have become your ALLIES.
COUNTER-productive, any way you look at it.
So: The RRR is the target. AIM at it, and **hit** it unerringly.
