Object: End Time Commo Network Needed
What we need, in the face of rising diasters, unprecedented in the history
of the world is an International Diasters Communication Network.
They do have Ham Radio Operators, which are more informed than the regular
populace on such things. Shortwave Radio, which encompasses a lot of empty
and non-broadcasting bands would be perfect for such a thing. While in
Europe, the Middle East and Asia Shortwave Radio listening, or dx'ing is
more popular than here in the States, shortwave radios would be a valuable
asset to have, if there was a station broadcasting.
The BBC is on shortwave, and they do broadcast quite a bit of news, as well
as China, and even Russia, and the Voice of America: Most of this news is
lost on an unsuspecting American Public, who is more in tune with
Television, than real events occuring on the planet. Also, the Internet is
a fragile entity, that could go down at any time with a well placed calamity
on the Network Infrastructure.
So, I propose that someone, with money, like Warren Buffet, or Bill Gates,
or perhaps David Rockefeller, make a shortwave radio broadcasting station to
broadcast world events, in the realm of weather, and other disasters. I
also propose to Americans that they buy them a shortwave radio, and tune
into what is really happening. Cause, in the end, The Apprentice and Days
of our Lives is not going to save you, nor your family.

Good post. We also need to consider alternative means of
communication for when *they* shut down The World's Greatest

Well for the most part, I listen to BBC, WWCR, Family Radio, and Canadian
Broadcasting. I know a little more than NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, CNN puts out to
the public. But I feel a centralized, non-partisan station to broadcast
just all those nice little alphabet agencies alerts: NOAA, NHS, etc. would
be great to have. Primarily, I get my news from 2 sources: Rick Wiles and
Steve Quayle. Any more, since the damage to our Ionosphere, it is hard to
hear their programs, except via Internet. If that medium goes down, then I
won't be able to hear them. I often have wondered why several of the news
reporting and ministries don't get together and buy them a station, or just
put one up themse;ves. You can get a shortwave transmitter that is more
than capable of transmitting clean across America. I would do it myself, if
I had the money. :|
But it is a good idea. I cant seem to pick up the VOA cause of their
antenna is pointed overseas, and they don't primarily broadcast to America.
So it is a good idea: I wonder if someone could get a grant to do it.

Well for the most part, I listen to BBC, WWCR, Family Radio, and Canadian
Broadcasting. I know a little more than NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, CNN puts out to
the public.

You sure could have fooled me..you don't seem to know many facts at all,
just a lot of whack job stuff...

But I feel a centralized, non-partisan station to broadcast
just all those nice little alphabet agencies alerts: NOAA, NHS, etc. would
be great to have. Primarily, I get my news from 2 sources: Rick Wiles and
Steve Quayle.

Oh, ok, that explains a lot. Get your news from kooks, and you'll
believe kooky stuff. If you can't see that they are kooks, you're
infected with the kook virus yourself. Just about anyone not infected
sees or hears Wiles or Quayle, and instantly recognizes them instantly
as the kooks they are.

Any more, since the damage to our Ionosphere, it is hard to
hear their programs, except via Internet.

Damage to our Ionosphere?? LOL. What nonsense is this? You think
conditions haven't sucked before? You really need to learn to think a
little and stop swallowing all the nonsense you do. When conditions get
good again, will you claim god healed the ionosphere? I've listened to
SW for about 40 years, and it's been worse than it is now, several
times.

If that medium goes down, then I
won't be able to hear them.

Don't worry too much, neither the internet or shortwave is going to
disappear..you and I will be gone long before they are..

I often have wondered why several of the news
reporting and ministries don't get together and buy them a station, or just
put one up themse;ves.

There are already way too many religious stations on the air, the vast
majority of them nothing but cash generators for the owners, who don't
seem to mind fleecing the sheep, most of the sheep being the people who
can't really afford to toss money away.

You can get a shortwave transmitter that is more
than capable of transmitting clean across America. I would do it myself, if
I had the money. :|

Oh boy, another kook station! Please sell everything and do it..

But it is a good idea. I cant seem to pick up the VOA cause of their
antenna is pointed overseas, and they don't primarily broadcast to America.

They don't broadcast to america because it's illegal for them to do so,
has been a law for many decades.

So it is a good idea: I wonder if someone could get a grant to do it.

I doubt it.

Sounds great! I would listen to it. However, as long as
cable/satelite televsion, FM, and the Internet continue to
function most Americans probably aren't going to listen to
a crackly shortwave radio that picks up much better at night
than during the day. Most people I know don't even have
a clue as to what a shortwave radio is :(

SW works just as well in the daytime as night.
It's really simple, even Aperio might understand it..well, maybe not,
he's about as clueless as they come.
Low frequencies are good at night..
Higher freqs (like 15MHZ) are better in daylight.

15.0-15.6 or so should boom in during days. I just spun through there
and had at least a dozen really big signals that even a 5 dollar garage
sale radio should be able to hear...
A couple of them are pretty potent, +40 over on my Sloper..
