According to Catholic doctrine, Mary died a virgin and so Jesus
couldn't have had any brothers or sisters.

Of course, the real reason Jesus had no brothers or sisters is that
he's a complete myth and myths don't even have mommies and daddies,
leave alone siblings.

===>Most documents state that James the Just was the brother of
Jesus.

I'll repeat the most important point in my post:

Jesus is a myth and myths don't have relations. Trust me.

What did you expect when you posted this on alt.atheism?

===>I did NOT "post it on alt.atheism", only responded
to something posted on several ng's.

Oh but you _did_ post it on alt.atheism, you may not have _intended_
to post it there but you did. Your name is at the head of the thread.

However, I
expected to call attention to the TRUTH: existing evidence.
It suggests there was a man named "James", a.k.a. "James the Just",
and he did have a brother named Jesus.

Fine, feel free. It seems quite reasonable that somewhere in Judea
there were two brothers James and Jesus, but pardon me if I sound
cynical; why make such a claim if you're not going to try and suggest
that Jame's brother is _that_ Jesus?

That does in no way mean that the STORIES about Jesus in the
Gospels are not fictional, at least in part.
It definitely does not mean
Jesus was the incarnate savior god preached by Saul/Paul, founder
of the Christos Cult, a variety of the Pagan mystery religion. -- L.

So what are you leading up to?
HALFRUNT MODE: ON
"Heyyyy, Jesus was just this guy, you know?"
HALFRUNT MODE: OFF
You see, there's this gap between your subject line and your subject.
I always get suspicious when they crop up, because religious people
have a tendancy of 'proving' one thing and claiming that there whole
damn fantasy has been validated. This I regard as just a little
dishonest. Just a smidgen.
