"except ye repent": How to Avoid False Professions |
I believe current so-called soul-winners are expecting too much from
a 2-minute session of Gospel preaching, attempting to harvest
where we ought to be planting seeds.
I believe many are turned away from salvation by unbiblical
methods of convincing (or manipulating) people to 'pray to receive Jesus'.
If you have the burden to share your faith but don't agree
with today's popular confrontational methods, this is a good article
to help form biblically sound methodology. As an example, I last had
a conversation with a friend while on a car trip about the validity of
Genesis as opposed to evolutionism's world view. Restoring faith
in the biblical account of creation should lead to understanding of the
subsequent curse of sin we live under, and our destination for hell because
of it. Without understanding the need to repent, there's no repentance, and
thus no way to avoid the appointed end for the unrepentent:
"except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish"[Lk 13:3,5].
