Faith and Repentance
After Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he opened his ministry
with... "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."
Watch out for those who speak LIES in HIS name!
Do not be deceived by false teachers, particularly those promoting their
own version of modern "enlightened" liberal "theological" thought that is
little more than revisionist humanism in disguise, denying the core message
of the Gospel and the human condition, and peddled by those seeking after
their own glory.
Consider the following verses:
from 1 Thessalonians;
For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore,
he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you
his Holy Spirit.
from Matthew 7;
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of
heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
from 2 Thessalonians;
They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For
this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe
the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth
but have delighted in wickedness.
from James;
Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and
humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

1st Century Church of Christ
The end timers believe in a literal, physical
New Jerusalem. But is that what Scripture teaches?
No, it doesn't! So what is the New Jerusalem? It
is amazing what the end timers miss, especially
since it is stated clearly that the New Jerusalem
is the bride of Christ, the church.
Revelation 21:1,9-10
1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the
first heaven and the first earth had passed away.
9) And one of the seven angels who had the seven
vials full of the seven last plagues came to me and
talked with me, saying, Come here, I will show you
the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10) And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great
and high mountain and showed me that great city, the
holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from God
.
