"fast track" method to salvation |
Suppose salvation could be achieved in 3/4 of the time
when associated with brief, mild 25 volt electric shocks.
Would you attempt this on a subject even if light torture
normally went against your sense of ethics? It is, after all,
for the subject's greater good, and the discomfort will be over
within seconds.
Would you hesitate to apply 50 volts if it afforded a salvation
in 1/2 of the time?
How high would you be willing to go? (Don't worry, it's
not the voltage that kills, but rather, the amperage.)

How about all the god-botherers out there go tightwire walking on a
132,000 volt overhead line. Let's see what Yahweh does about it. Saved?
Ha!

Birds do it all the time. It's perfectly safe. You're walking on the
return leg of that line every time you're outdoors.

Tell them it's a much better method of salvation - direct physical
communion with Jebus. If any of them complain afterwards, we can
apologize profusely.

Without having to swallow, either.

Tell them the *occasional* electrocutions are the price for rescuing
many more souls from the precipitous brink of hell, and the
electocutees
all get to hebbin automatically, head of line, anyway. Jebus
would approve.

Even easier - instead of waiting a lifetime to get to Jebus,
contribute to OUR church and you get to talk to him immediately. It's
THEIR belief - if the ones still alive (all of those who go through
the "treatment" will be dead) complain, we just tell them what
hypocrites they are and kick them out. Instant communion? Instant
excommunication also.

Easy. A good distance up attach; a piece of the true cross, and the

long as they do it au natural.

132kv to ground? As they come close to contact with the tower,
fundie, clothing and protective gear all go up in a puff of H. S.
Rubber gloves, rubber boots - that's protection against 440, not HOLY
voltage. (We can make it 144kv if they want it more Biblical.)

That depends on the dielectric breakdown of the air between the
line and the post. The 132 (or 144) kv won't arc until the
climber/pilgrim makes it past the insulators, at least. Remember

Oh, I was talking about our "go-to-Jebus" tower. It stands on
insulators and the entire tower is hot. At 25kv/inch, we should see a
nice 4 inch lightning bolt even in fairly dry weather.

I don't think either one generates the current we need. I was
thinking of an availability of at least 100 Amps.
At what voltage?
Do atheists have such power?
What does a full-grown electric eel pack?
Nothing like that, I'm afraid.
Barely enough to light a 100W bulb and, even then, not for long.
A kiddie pool full of electric eels?
Still, not even close the dynamite level of energy proposed, but what
they heck.
Let's try it anyway!

144kv. Straight from a cross-country feeder. Just insulate the
tower, not the feeder.

If any atheists work for the power transmission company, yes.

Thats 14.4 Mega Watts!!!
If applied for one minute, that is 0.864 GJ of energy to be applied to
the lucky sacrificial Xtian!
Which is around 1 fifth of a ton of TNT!
Is that so we don't have to employ a cleaner, or a pathologist?
Do atheists have such power?

Not even an air filter, probably. How much energy does it take to
turn 80 kilos of human mass into plasma?

About as much energy as it takes to launch it into the Sun.
What is the Schwarzschild radius for an 80kg xian, and how hard
would it be to crunch it into a singularity?

I don't know what the radius would be (probably some value times i)
but all you'd have to do is destroy its faith. They can't exist

Mount Everest's SR is about 1 nanometer. Divide Everest's mass
by the mass of the fundy in question.

Any competant proctologist should be able to handle that operation.

Are you allowed to have that many zeros to the right of the decimal
point?

That does seem to be where they keep it - it's where their answers
come from.

Use scientific notation. Point is can you squeeze them into such
a minute region that they completely blink out of existance?
