Let's all go back to the original, pure and unadulterated faith of the
1st generation Christians. The first generation Christian faith.

===>It was one of the many mystery religions whose typical dying/rising
savior god was given the name "Christos" (Christ) which could be
interpreted as being the equivalent of the Jewish "Messiah", but in fact
had no connection to that Hebrew concept.
The original "Christians" were "Christianos", i.e. worshipers of that
new deity. -- L.

Okay, then step #1 is to stop saying, "We're the generation
in the last days!" and to believe what the NT says, which is
that they were.

The problem is , which stream of original Christianity?
There were many interpretations of Jesus in the early church.

One needs to read the N.T. carefully.
If one takes a look at the writing of Paul it is obvious that early 1st
century churches did have their problems as churches today also have
their problems. We need to carefully study the bible and what it has to
say and live each day as Jesus would want us to live.
John 13:34-35 tells us that we have a new commandment. We are to love
God and then to love others as we love ourselves. If we perform an act
or fail to perform an act based on this new commandment then we are not
living our lives in the way God created us.
