Jeb Bush
intervenes
Florida governor signs last-minute
legislation, orders feeding tube restored
to Terri Schiavo

With only a few hours remaining before she
slips beyond the point where she can be saved,...

Hopefully NOT, for HER sake. Especially if she has conscious
awareness, and is TRAPPED in the interminable and unthinkable
**hell** and **torment** of knowing what's going on, and being totally
unable to respond. Hour upon hour, day after day, month after month, for
13 long YEARS already. And **now**, thanks to a collection of mindless
and selfish assholes, NO relief from that in sight! What a ***HORRIBLE***
condition that would be!

Florida lawmakers delivered Gov. Jeb Bush
legislation empowering him to order Terri
Schindler-Schiavo's feeding tube reinserted and
the governor signed and implemented the ...
law two hours later.

Thus PROVING that both the majority of Florida's legislators AND
our Warmonger-in-Thief's unscrupulous brother are inhuman and cruel,
total horses' asses!
I guess there's no surprise THERE!

But about the topic at hand, all we have is the
husband's claim that she would want the plug pulled. We have heard

enough

about the husband to know that he is not likely to be a truth teller.

We've heard that from sources that aren't objective, to put it mildly.

Did

you know that Mr. Schiavo went back to school to get qualified as a
respiratory therapist so that he could help Terri?

That is not true. She does not need any help with respiration.

Did you know that he
works at a nearby hospital so that he can visit her frequently?

All evidence points that he does not visit her frequently. In fact he is
raising a different family right now, and has been for many years.
Did you

know that he made a nuisance of himself harrassing the nurses to get the
best possible care for her?

He is the one who prevented medical staff from giving her the care she
needed when she came down with infections.

That is not true. She does not need any help with respiration.

Sure she does. I realize that she's not on a respirator but she does need
daily respiratory therapy.

Did you know that he
works at a nearby hospital so that he can visit her frequently?

All evidence points that he does not visit her frequently.

Please cite some of it.

In fact he is
raising a different family right now, and has been for many years.

That's not incompatible with visiting her. As far as I know, her siblings
are also raising families and yet are able to visit her frequently. Please
don't tell me you agree with that pious crap about his wedding vows. He is
a young man and naturally wants to have a family, which doesn't mean he
doesn't still care about Terri either.

Did you

know that he made a nuisance of himself harrassing the nurses to get the
best possible care for her?

He is the one who prevented medical staff from giving her the care she
needed when she came down with infections.

So the people who are slandering him left and right say, at least. (Which
is not necessarily to say that she *should* have been given antibiotics if
she developed pneumonia, for instance.)
You seem to be getting your information from Johnny-come-lately "Save Terri"
websites that have appeared since this became the right wing cause du jour.
I'm getting mine from court documents. Guess which of the two are more
credible.

That's not incompatible with visiting her.

It shows he does not care about her. If he did care he would finish the
divorce that Terri wanted, and marry the mother of his children, and leave
Terri alone.

I wonder if any of these "family values" folks realize that the family
begins with the husband and wife. Or the irony of all of this during all
this "defense of marriage" hullabaloo. But I'm sure those folks can give
me one thousand and one reasons why this has nothing to do with that, those
that think at all. I am also reminded of a friend of my mother's, a
retired nurse, who not only had a living will but also kept a Do Not
Resuscitate note on her 'fridge. Anyway, she was still conscious as she
was being wheeled into the ER yelling "don't intubate me!" She awoke with
a feeding tube in her. She was a nurse and awake to boot! I guess the
best you can hope for is good drugs...

Hearsay evidence, from people with an interest in taking his rights

how those who keep *claiming* to be for marriage try their damnest to
take away the rights and respoinsibilties of marriage.

ROTFL!!!! Two peas in the same loathesome, bigoted,
and ignorant pod!

We are not the one's who want to starve another human to death.

Who cares what we want, what about what Terri wants... or should I say
*would* want?

"Would" is hypothesis contrary to fact. What DOES she want?

According to her husband, she would want to die.
According to her parents, well... they have yet to say they've asked
her. They seem only concerned with what they want.

According to her parents, I recall hearing she can squeeze hands and
smile back at close family. She squeezed hard when asked once
indicating she wanted to live.

Does squeezing hard mean "yes" or "no"?

It is probably pre-arranged meaning.... I know that when I got a hand
squeeze from a patient....it meant yes. Shaking the hand or an evasive
movement usually means no.

According to her husband, she wanted a broken neck too.

uh huh

You can read about that in the court records. There never was a desire
to terminate Terri also until the medical malpractice suit was
awarded. Interesting that you'd now have a means motive and
opportunity at this point. As well as a deliberate and temporarily
effective attempt.
I can understand euthanasia better even than starving someone as their
way of "natural" death. If I were to die naturally, I'd rather not be
simultaneiously suffering dehydration and malnutrition. However, under
Terri's circumstance...there is no degeneration or prospect of natural
death as long as feeding continues as far as I can tell. I know
someone who remained vegetative until their 80s. They are just like
the handicapped. It seems Peter Singer and Judge Greer must be
buddies.

Which is the whole problem. She did not leave a living will, so we cannot
know how she would have felt. So we look to those who know her best, and
that would be her parents and siblings.
And as it appears that Terri was a rational person before her mysterious
injuries that put her in this state, she more than likely would not have
chosen to starve herself to death.

Comparing Feminists to Nazis...
http://mensnewsdaily.com/archive/r/roberts/03/roberts081203.htm
"The proportion of men must be reduced to and maintained at
approximately 10% of the human race." -- Sally Miller Gearhart,
in The Future - If There Is One - Is Female.
"If life is to survive on this planet, there must be a
decontamination of the Earth. I think this will be accompanied by
an evolutionary process that will result in a drastic reduction
of the population of males." --Mary Daly, former Professor at
Boston College, 2001.
These proposals are disturbing in their own right. What is even
more troubling is that no feminist has ever repudiated them.
When feminists call for global "decontamination" by phasing-out
men, I can't help but think of the lies and accusations leveled
against the Jews in Nazi Germany, and the similarities to
contemporary gender feminism:
1. Biological superiority: The National Socialists preached the
genetic superiority of the Aryan race. Now, a feminist-oriented
World Health Organization website claims that women enjoy an
"inherent biological advantage."
2. Sub-human: In the 1930s, the Jews were called vermin and
"Judensau" (Jew-pig). Thirty years later, feminists referred to
men as "male chauvinist pigs."
3. Conspiracy theory: The Jews were often accused of "working
together" to pollute German culture. Now, feminists refer to the
so-called conspiracy against women as "the patriarchy."
4. Excessive influence: Seventy years ago, Jews were accused of
controlling the German economy. Now, men are accused of "having
all the power."
5. Threat to the greater welfare: The Jews were blacklisted as
toxic to German culture. In the present era, Gloria Steinem
writes, "The most dangerous situation for a woman is....a husband
or lover in the isolation of their own home."
6. Faulty science: Just as Hitler's propagandists once dismissed
Albert Einstein's discoveries as "Jewish physics," feminist
scholars now ridicule male scientific breakthroughs as the
product of "linear" and "hierarchical" thinking.
7. Spread of a dread disease: In Nazi Germany, Jews were falsely
accused of spreading of untreatable syphilis. Now, UNICEF
director Carol Belamy unfairly blames men for the spread of AIDS
in Africa.
8. Sexual contact: Hitler was obsessed with keeping Jewish men
from "defiling" the racial purity of Aryan women. Now, according
to Catherine McKinnon, "In a patriarchal society all heterosexual
intercourse is rape."
But the most fascinating parallel between Germany in the 1930s
and the current era lies in the conscious use of deception to
sway public opinion.
In her brilliant exposé, Who Stole Feminism?, Christina Hoff
Sommers documents the many fabrications of gender feminism.
Indeed, the entire ideological foundation of feminism rests on
what columnist Wendy McElroy calls the "Great Lie" -- the
wrong-headed notion that women are the eternal victims of
male-dominated culture.
The feminist Great Lie echoes the infamous passage from Mein
Kampf that says, "The size of the lie is a definite factor in
causing it to be believed....The primitive simplicity of their
minds renders them a more easy prey to a big lie than a small
one."
The effect of the Nazi accusations was to convince the German
public and the world at large that Jews were not part of
humanity, and thus not deserving of fundamental human rights.
Once the dehumanization and demoralization of the Jews was
complete, the stage was set for the horrors that were to commence
in 1939.
So what does the future hold for the male species?
Carey Roberts
