Fools and Wise Men
If you argue with a fool you will never have and end of his foolishness:
"If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh,
there is no rest." Proverbs 29:9
This speaks of the futility of arguing with a foolish man("wise in his own
conceits," according to Prov 26:12) about spiritual truths. It will lead
either to anger or ridicule(ad hominim), and no conclusion is reached.
It is far better to leave these fools to themselves and each other for
they are probably evolving yet into greater fools....

Good point. So let's talk science and leave religion to each individual.
Haven't seen you talk science yet in this N.G.

This is true. There is no way to convince the fool of his foolishness.
You are a splendind example of why this is so.

No, it will be difficult to find a more persistent fool than a young-
earth creationist bigot. They lie over and over again about science.
They are in open rebellion against God and His Church and the worst of
them actually know this but do it anyway, probably because they are
cynical con men who believe it's all right to deceive people about God
for their own pleasure.
They are wrong, of course. There really IS a God, and leading His
children into paths of deceit and bigotry IS a sin and there WILL BE an
accounting. You WILL HAVE TO PAY for what you have done to Him.
Sometimes, it's best to just bite the bullet, repent the sin and "pay it
forward."

Lets do dueling quotes, this is fun:
"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit
atrocities " --Voltaire
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as
false, and by the rulers as useful" -- Seneca
"War has been used by religious leaders and followers alike as a way
of justifyi8ng their own greed, power, and stupidity" -- Senator Wayne
Morse
"Theocracy is the worst of all governments. If we must have a tyrant,
a robber baron is better than an inquisitor" -- C.S. Lewis
"I believe in an America where the separation of Church and State is
absolute" -- John F. Kennedy
"If all the achievements of scientists were wiped out tomorrow, there
would be no doctors, but witchdoctors, no transport faster than a
horse, no computers, no printed books, no agriculture beyond
subsistence peasant farming. If all the achievements of theologians
were wiped out tomorrow, would anyone notice the smallest difference?"
-- Richard Dawkins
"There is much in the Bible against which every instinct of my being
rebels"
-- Helen Keller
"Leave the matter of religion to the family altar, the church, and the
private schools, supported entirely by private contributions. Keep the
church and state forever separated" -- Ulysses S. Grant
"Which is it, is man one of God's blunders or is God one of man's?" --
Friedrich Nietzsche
"The Bible and the church have been the greatest stumbling blocks in
the way of women's emancipation" -- Elizabeth Cady Stanton
And finally from one of my favorite writers:
We must respect the other fellow's religion, but only in the same
sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is
beautiful and his children smart. " ---H. L. Mencken

If you argue with a fool you will never have and end of his foolishness:
Indeed I-know-***** demonstrates this perfectly well.
It is far better to leave these fools to themselves and each other for
they are probably evolving yet into greater fools....
See above. Another fundie inviting ridicule.
TOP TEN SIGNS YOU'RE A (CHRISTIAN) FUNDAMENTALIST
10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of
gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when
someone denies the existence of yours.
9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists
say that people evolved from other life forms, but you
have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were
created from dirt.
8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem
believing in a Triune God.
7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the
"atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even
flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all
the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the
elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" --
including women, children, and trees!
6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and
Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have
no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated
Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed,
came back to life and then ascended into the sky.
5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little
loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth
(4.55 billion years), but you find nothing wrong with
believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting
in their tents and guessing that Earth is a couple of
generations old.
4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet
with the exception of those who share your beliefs --
though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend
Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet
consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."
3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and
physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot
rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be
all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.
2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it
comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be
evidence that prayer works. And you think that the
remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.
1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and
agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church
history - but still call yourself a Christian.

So which are you? The wiseman or the fool?
