if you refer to the Paleo Hebrew, yes, your observation is correct.
`sitna` is the root and `ha satan` merely means "withstanding one" or
"one who opposes." in its first appearance in the TaNaKh [in Sefer
BeMidbar] the Malakh Y_H_V_H is `Ha Satan." Dovid HaMelek ["king
david"] is also referred to as "Satan" in the TaNaKh. it is a neutral
term per se.

I think your use of "Satan" more closely resembles the NT
interpretation: "The Father of all lies"... Lol...
