Happy Piso Week! |
Hello everyone,
We have been observing and celebrating both Piso Day and Piso Week.
Piso Day is July 1st and Piso Week is from Dec. 24th until Jan. 1st.
What is Piso Week all about? It is about remembering the people who
died for the cause of making the world a better place. And of the
great long, all-out war which they fought in from about 135 BC (BCE)
until 135 AD (CE). More specifically, these people were the Jews of
the time. Not just any Jews, but the sect known as the Pharisees.
What the Pharisees were trying to accomplish was the abolishment of
slavery. Another thing that they were fighting for was the guarantee
of basis human rights for everyone. In addition to these, they were
also fighting to change the existing form of government to a truly
democratic one. All of these are the best of causes.
It was a long, bitter fight, as you might imagine. Many people died
and were tortured in the most horrible ways imaginable. But, very few
people even know of the sacrifice that these people made for the sake
of humanity. That is why were are trying to educate the public to all
of this.
Another part of Piso Day and Piso Week is that we also remember the
things that are associated with the creation of Christianity; which
was actually a part of the war that the Jews were fighting in. In
terms of the war, we can put the two sides into the catagory of the
'good' guys, which we call the 'Allies' and the 'bad' guys, whom we
call the 'Axis'. The good guys (the Allies) were the Pharisees and
their supporters, while the bad guys were certain Romans and their
supporters. Christianity, was created by the BAD guys. And, this truth
should be made known to everyone. Join us in celebrating Piso Week.

Oh, trotter, you are sooo jealous!
BTW, everytime I see your name "trotter" I think of you running to the
bathroom. I am sure that other people think the same thing, "Look!
There he goes, he's trotting off to the bathroom again!" My words,
what ever must he have been eating!?!?
