Object: His servants - signs of genuine faith
A sign of the faithful is obedience - they are doers of the word, putting
into practice what is contained in His Word.
They have the presence of the Holy Spirit, crucifying the flesh daily and
in following Christ are increasingly conformed to His image bringing forth
good fruit.
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And
hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the
commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Those who are obedient, following in Christ's example rather than being
self-deceived into thinking that repeated acts of sin and ungodly behavior
are acceptable, are subject to the hatred and persecution of those
unspiritual ones who are controlled by the flesh.
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye
were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of
the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world
hateth you.
But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born
after the Spirit, even so it is now.
Most telling, are those who claim to be of the faith, but don't walk the
talk - they do not live by the example set for them.
Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works
of Abraham.
Don't be deceived into thinking you are above the requirements for humble
obedience to His Word.
Make sure your service is more than lip-service - Make yours a living
faith.

(I can't argue with these admonitions, but would prefer to 'talk the talk'
in modern, rather than Jacobean English)...

Is that as in NASB or NIV vernacular?

NRSV will do (the preferred translation of evangelical-to-mainline biblical
scholars)
