Holy marriage! |
Genesis 2:23-24 (NIV)
23 The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,'
for she was taken out of man."
24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be
united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
Humm!!
When a man and woman marry they become one in purpose and it is
through children they become one flesh! (Think about it)
Genesis 1:28 (NIV)
28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in
number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea
and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on
the ground."
1 Corinthians 7:8-9 (NIV)
8 Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to
stay unmarried, as I am. 9 But if they cannot control themselves, they
should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
Humm!!
God said to be fruitful therefore a marriage that does not have
children is not a fruitful marriage but still is a marriage, just a
barren one!
1 Timothy 2:14-15 (NIV)
14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was
deceived and became a sinner. 15 But women will be saved through
childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with
propriety.
Mark 10:4-12 (NIV)
4 They said, "Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce
and send her away."
5 "It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this
law," Jesus replied. 6 "But at the beginning of creation God ‘made
them male and female.' 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father
and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one
flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one. 9 Therefore what God has
joined together, let man not separate."
10 When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about
this. 11 He answered, "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries
another woman commits adultery against her. 12 And if she divorces her
husband and marries another man, she commits adultery."
Romans 7:1-3 (NIV)
7 Do you not know, brothers—for I am speaking to men who know the
law—that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives? 2
For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as
he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of
marriage. 3 So then, if she marries another man while her husband is
still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she
is released from that law and is not an adulteress, even though she
marries another man.
1 Corinthians 7:10-11 (NIV)
10 To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife
must not separate from her husband. 11 But if she does, she must
remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband
must not divorce his wife.
Deuteronomy 23:2 (NIV)
2 No one born of a forbidden marriage, nor any of his descendants may
enter the assembly of the Lord, even down to the tenth generation.

Needed to show what marriage was all about in the bible as more and
more it is degenerating into purely fornication with whoever for as
long as it suit one partner. Being married meant being with the
opposite sex till one of you died and if you could not get along then
being separate and celibet.
We all fall short of the mark but how much shorter will we fall if we
don't even know where the mark is. It is why mankind needs Jesus to
forgive them as He has already made the mark and those that reach for
Jesus will be brought up to Him due to His sacrifice for our sins!

Why could "be fruitful" not mean something else, besides being able to
bear children?
If Adam and Eve were to "fill" the earth, then God must have given
them already the necessary equipment (i.e. functional reproductive
organs) to do so, as they themselves had absolutely no way to do
anything in case Eve could not bear children, which she did after the
fall Abel, Cain etc. etc.
Can humans decide if they want to reach the age in which they can
have children?
