Honoring Mary |
How can any man or woman call themselves "Christian", yet not give all honor
and glory to Jesus Christ's mother? The "Hail Mary" prayer teaches us that
she was the mother of God. Unless proper respect is afforded Mary, that
person should not identify themselves as "Christian".

Given all your pedophile posts, you have no call on judging who is and isn't
a Christian.

I think a christian is anyone who follows the teachings of christ!!
1) Mark 3: 35 - Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and
mother."
OOOOPS. Those words are in red in my bible. Thus Jesus tells us that anyone
who does the will of God, can be his mother.
Or the bible -
2) Jeremiah 7: 18 - The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire,
and the women knead the dough and make cakes of bread for the Queen of
Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to provoke me to anger.
It would seem that honoring a PAGAN Queen of Heaven provokes God to anger!!
3) Jeremiah 44: 19 - The women added, "When we burned incense to the Queen
of Heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did not our husbands know
that we were making cakes like her image and pouring out drink offerings to
her?"
Do you burn incense around images of the Queen of Heaven??
4) Approxinately 2,000BC, the following hymn to the Goddess Inanna was
written -
I say, "Hail!" to the Holy One who appears in the heavens!
I say, "Hail!" to the Holy Priestess of Heaven!
I say, "Hail!" to Inanna, Great Lady of Heaven.
Thus you now know where your Hail Mary comes from!!
It's kind of like Jesus saying, Matthew 23: 9 - And do not call anyone on
earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.
Real christians follow that!! The followers of Saulus the apostate still
call their priests father to this day!!
Listen!! Any other questions, don't be afraid to ask!!
Smile.

You said it - a pagan. For what they were doing in the cities of Judah and the
streets of Jerusalem. Do you own a bible, z?

Didn't you see the part about offering sacrifices to other gods.
Shame on you, z.
Do you burn incense around images of the Queen of Heaven??
No, the Mother of Jesus is now with her son in Heaven.
4) Approxinately 2,000BC, the following hymn to the Goddess Inanna was

There you go, you pagan, hail to inanna.
Thus you now know where your Hail Mary comes from!!
But ours is the Mother of God, and not one of your pagans.
It's kind of like Jesus saying, Matthew 23: 9 - And do not call anyone on

Why should anybody be a Christian? Mary was a *****. She cuckolded
Joseph with that stupid story about some ghost cumming unto her. Her son
did not experience resurrection, and your gospels are LIES.
Proper respect for Mary would have been to leave a tip under her pillow.
And your holy ghost was a Roman sailor on shore leave.

The problem lies not in honoring Mary, but in the Roman Catholic
"veneration" of her to unscriptural plateaus. Protestantism has
rightly reacted to RCO's maryolatry (Maria latria, though they like to
fool us with terms such as hyperdulia). However, because of this, I
feel that Protestants have suffered in failing to accord her the honor
she rightly deserves for fear of coming the same error. It is
completely unscriptural of the RCO* to elevate her to a position
complementary to that of the Trinity itself when teaching an acting
upon the false view of her role as benefactress, mediatrix or co-
redeemer.

A true Christian is a person who Jesus is living in their heart and
lives. Mary was a person but should not be worshiped .

A true Christian is a person who Jesus is living in their heart and
lives. Mary was a person but should not be worshiped .
She's not. She's "esteemed".

It's better to respect Mary, the mother of Jesus (Y'shua) than to
disrespect her. When religions esteem her above Christ, followers
will start giving more honor to a human than to God.

Well, we "esteem" Mary. We worship Jesus.

When you PRAY to her, you are treating her as if she was GOD, which is
idolatry!

It is very strange. People think that when they leave this wolrd for
the next, they will be with all kinds of people.
In the next life will they only focus on G-d?
Will they ignore all who are they and never communicate with them?
(communion of saints)
So why is it so hard to understand that some people communicate through
prayer to the mother of Jesus? It's not realy my thing, but it seems to
me that some people are a little thick about this.
In the least if they don't like it, they should stop this constant
hounding of those who venerate Jesus' mother, and respect those who do.
And if prayers to her are a help..great. We all need all the help we
can get.
Hail Mary...........................

as if she was GOD, which is idolatry!
Not *as* God, Dore - but as one of God's most loved.
And yet, we thought that was Jesus! Shame on us!
When you pray to someone, then you are worshipping
them. And there is nowhere in Scripture that it says to
pray to Mary.
And before you try to pull that, "We're not praying to
Mary. We are just talking to her, asking her to pray
to Jesus for us.", you had better come up with another
form of communication than getting on your knees
and praying to her. You know, like fax, telephone,
postal, etc.. Unless you can say that you communicate
with her in one of those methods, then there is no
difference between what you're doing to her and what
you're doing to God.
The fact is, that you assign omniscience to her, for she
could not possibly hear all of the prayers coming at her,
unless she was omniscient.
So you go worship your Mary and I'll worship God.
Have a nice day! :)
