HOW LONG, O' LORD? |
HOW LONG O' LORD
HOW LONG O' LORD will Israel see but not see,
hear but not hear, understand but not understand
or else they would repent and return to the Lord.
- Joseph
What was God's response to Isaiah?
Isaiah 6:
8) And I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?
Then I said, Here am I! Send me.
9) And he said, Go, and say to this people:
Keep on hearing, but do not understand;
keep on seeing, but do not perceive.
10) Make the heart of this people dull,
and their ears heavy,
and blind their eyes;
lest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their hearts,
and turn and be healed.
We're all familiar with this passage. Christ repeated
this in the Gospels as he preached to many in Israel.
But many did not understand and walked away.
This fulfilled Isaiah's prophesy in regards to the
"Hardening" which Paul spoke about. The question
must be asked, How long does this hardening take?
Paul explains to the Romans that the Jews which were
rejected because of disobedience were suffering temporary
blindness until the fullness of the Gentiles were brought
in. Futurists assume this is the current situation with
Israel today, as if God is still divinely hardening the
Jews. This is not so, for Isaiah asked the very same
question regarding his people. For he himself asks:
11) Then I said, How long, O Lord?
And he said:
Until cities lie waste
without inhabitant,
and houses without people,
and the land is a desolate waste,
12) and the LORD removes people far away,
and the forsaken places are many in the
midst of the land (Israel).
13) And though a tenth remain in it,
it will be burned again,
like a terebinth or an oak,
whose stump remains
when it is felled [indicates a washing].
The holy seed is its stump [This is Christ;
the Church].
Scripture proves that the hardening was accomplished
until the cities were laid waste and the land (Israel)
was in complete ruins and houses un-inhabited.
When did this happen? Well, more than once,
did this happen. But the conclusion was in 132AD.
The main destruction was in 70AD, when the temple was
destroyed and Jerusalem set ablaze. This was God sending
his "winds" or armies, to destroy the evil within the city.
As we all know, Israel suffered demonic possession of
the highest level, the Pharisees and Scribes were evil
in heart (Twice the son of hell as Christ says), received
the seven woes from Christ because of error and falsehood,
and trusted in their literal gates, military, and temple
treasury for their happiness. Thus, God removed what
was their true dependency and love, being "created things".
He removed their love of the temple, which even Christ
said, You have made into a den of thieves!
But as Isaiah says, 10 percent would survive the initial
cleansing, but these would also suffer burning and wrath.
What would remain is merely the seed (singular) of Christ
and His Kingdom. This was the final burning and destruction
which occurred under Simeon Bar Kaphba in 132AD.
Simeon was thought to be the promised Messiah of their
hope. They knew this time was coming as they accounted
for the seventy sevens which Daniel spoke of. This is why
they (The Jews) expected their Messiah to come and set
them free from the Romans, make Israel the powerful
nation of the world again, and them the people of all
peoples for nations to bow down and honor. However,
this self centered idea was not in the teaching of Christ.
For Christ's goal was to remove the veil/covering from
the entire world and bring in a people to himself from
nations far off (Isaiah 22-27).
Conclusion? The hardening lasted until 70AD, and from
then on, any rejected survivors (10% percent) would be
purged at the final burning in 132 AD. The hardening
Futurists claim today does not match Scripture and
must be rejected. Besides, Israel today (literal Israel
not Spiritual) still does not accept Christ, but Jews of
the flesh for the last 2006 years have accepted Christ.
Furthermore, it must be noted that the Jews who reside
in the land Israel today are not necessarily true blood-line
tribal Jews. They've been exposed to other nations for
over 2000 years. In the Old Testament days, when the
order was given to return and rebuild the temple after
the Babylonian captivity, only the Jews who could prove
their genealogy were permitted to assist in the rebuild.
All others were to remain outside.
<Why don't the Dispy's demand that today? After all,
it is Biblical! It is because they don't give a damn if
they're actually Jews or not, because to the Dispy,
the "it's all about me today, physically" Dispy doctrine
is far more important than what the Bible says! Sad!>
Well, I'd like to see the futurists see if these Jews which
are there now can prove which Tribe they came from.
Otherwise, their idea of the 144,000 sealed in the future
are in grave error.
<And yet, as I said already, the Dispy's don't give a damn!>
