how many actual kinds were there at the time before the Flood |
And another point, how many actual kinds were there at the time before
the Flood?
The measurements of the ark were; length 300 cubits, width 50 cubits,
and height 30 cubits.
If one presumes - as many do - that the cubit at that time was a
length of 18 inches, then the measurements in feet come out as; length
450 feet, width 75 feet and height 45 feet.
After all lets not forget in Genesis 6:21 Noe (or Noah) was told by God
to take in food for all the animals and his family.
This doesn't make for an awful lot of space inside being as you had
all those kinds and eight people to feed and clean up after for a whole
year.

They could have been baby animals, and I've heard calculations that
show it's possible. But then again, my faith rests in the Word of
God, not the ability of man to make verification.

The flood could have occurred anytime in the last 4.5 billion years. The
species count was down. The boat could actually have been too big.

There really is no way to know without going back in time. Some kinds
probably don't even exist anymore (extinctions, e.g dinosaurs).
The measurements of the ark were; length 300 cubits, width 50 cubits,
and height 30 cubits.
If one presumes - as many do - that the cubit at that time was a

It could have been 22.5 inchs for a cubit as well.
After all lets not forget in Genesis 6:21 Noe (or Noah) was told by God
to take in food for all the animals and his family.
Almost all animals will hibernate under the correct conditions. Some
animals go into turpor (e.g. hummingbirds). So they really would not
need to have food or to be fed. Some animals, such as camels, can
go without for long periods of time so also would not need as much
food.
This doesn't make for an awful lot of space inside being as you had
all those kinds and eight people to feed and clean up after for a whole

Dump the manure over the side. No there was plenty of space. This has
been soundly refuted many times.

There's another thing that the creatoids like to forget wrt. the "ark". The
space required for animals is calculated in *square* feet, not in *cubic* feet.
The space for hay, carcasses and other foodstuff + space for dung can be
measured in cubic feet... :)
