Object: How To Become A Virtual Saint.
This is a quick step-by-step guide to forfill your new years
resolution, which my be to become a Virtual Saint.
Internet Explorer has added a new control into its browser in its most
recent release. This tool is called the Content Advisor, and allows
you to block access to all adult material and disable access to
websites which you waste time using.
To open the content advisor, go to Control Panel and double click
Internet Options. You can also get there by opening Internet Explorer
and going to the Tools drop-down menu and clicking on Internet Options.
Next go to the Content tab, and click Enable. After this go to
settings and configure your custom censorship levels. Mine are all set
at 0, which restricts all adult content.
After this you may wish to block some websites that you know you want
to restrict your access to. To do this go to the Advanced tab and type
in the websites. After typing in the website click 'Never Allow', and
it will appear on the list of allowed and restricted websites.
The final step is to set a super visor password, and if you want to you
can set it to something you will never remember. The only way you can
get around this password is by reinstalling windows, so you can be sure
to stick to your new years resolution.
After all of this clear out your internet explorer cache, and set all
of its memory back to the defaults. If you use AOL you will need to
clear AOL's cache as well. Restart your computer and have a happy two
thousand and six!
I use AOL which does not have a usenet server, and offers more
worthwhile content than any other company online can provide. It has
parental controls, and spam filters. It comes with great software to
protect you from spyware and viruses, and I always get at least a 5.0k
transfer rate on my 56k modem.
If you do this you probably will not need AOLs virus protection anymore
anyhow, because all of the nasty bugs hang out on the adult web sites.

What reason could you possibly have for filtering adult content anyway?
If you're using AOL, you're less likely to be online as you are to be
calling tech support...
