Hypocrisy and Admonishment |
Lately several posters have made an issue of Chuck's alleged
complicity with Vera and myself because they don't perceive
Chuck's admonishments of us.
Now first of all, I don't think that Chuck is necessarily here to pass
judgment on our behavior
and should therefore not be pressured into thinking he has to.
And I also think it's ridiculous for Chuck to be accused of hypocrisy
because
the peanut gallery doesn't see the brotherly admonishment that we are
willing to accept
from Chuck when it occurs.
Indeed, as mature Christians Chuck, and Vera, and this writer take
credence in the words:
Romans 15:14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren,
that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also
to admonish one another.
Timothy II 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine
..
However, the form of admonishment has to fit the offense as well as the
offensor.
One doesn't always have to jump up and down and smack people over the
head
with a big heavy Bible or a bunch of nasty insults and threats of hell
and damnation
as is often the case in these newsgroups.
Indeed, sometimes a song and a prayer will do:
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all
wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs,
singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Because: James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be
swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
James 1:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God
So it is wiser to take heed of whom one would admonish
and the proper manner in which to do so.

as they've asked Feather (and pressured her into) why she didn't
admonish us,
as they're now asking and demanding of Chuck.

Not intended to be vulgar, but: Excrement in Phil 3:8 is usually made
polite with 'waste' or 'loss' in some versions thus avoiding modern
vernacular. KJV has it as 'dung'.

I confess that I do not think that the word "Jew" is an insult.
No follower of Messiah can think that the word "Jew" is an insult.
Only the original Hebrew is the Bible translations are not the same
thing and the KJV contains thousands more errors than the other
English translations, which stil contain thousands of errors
themselves.

I will not divulge ever something I was asked to keep private.I know how
much trouble that can cause. As you will see in my latest posts I have
pointed out where he has disrespected it on his part. Where he told any
and all everything I had ever said to him and confesses that at that
time he still had our correspondence.
I will not reply to Baba again...even as part of a discussion. I wont
hold myself open to that again.
I will post to the other group soon. I am just getting back to normal
after losing my Dad. There is a lot of paperwork involved in dying and
we also have Mum selling up and moving to somewhere smaller to contend

after losing my Dad. There is a lot of paperwork involved in dying and
we also have Mum selling up and moving to somewhere smaller to contend
with too. It nearly all over now and I will have some time to restart
all my interests.

I will not divulge ever something I was asked to keep private.I know
how much trouble that can cause. As you will see in my latest posts I
have pointed out where he has disrespected it on his part. Where he
told any and all everything I had ever said to him and confesses that
at that time he still had our correspondence.
I will not reply to Baba again...even as part of a discussion. I wont
hold myself open to that again.

Thank you Vera. God has comforted me. It is a lot harder than I ever
thought it would be to not have someone who was important in your life
not there anymore.You dont realize how much you rely on them just being
there to ask questions of or just to chat. I miss him every time I pick
my tomatoes as the last conversation I had with him,where he could
actually talk to me(he would get too breathless) was about my tomato
bushes.
I didnt realize how much a part of my normal routine it had become to
ring home every morning and every night to see how he was doing either.
But he is where he has lived all his life to be. God didnt turn him away.

Hey Diana BB. Vera is charismatically inclined, but she has a heart.
I disliked my father because he abused my mother and his 8 children.
When father died, I cried my eyes out when mom told me on the phone.
When mom said on the phone that Father died, I couldn't stop crying.
I have to tell mom I have to hang up. I hated my father until death.
But when Father died I could not stop crying for the man I disliked.
It's an irony of abused love relationships and misguided intentions.
Same thing about my mom, selling the house, moving to a small condo.
The greatest tragedy is mother existing without the man she married.
