I can't believe this religion |
Christianity is ridiculous.
According to Christianity, free will was the cause of sin, but if that's
true then God is the cause of sin because God made free will.
Free will cannot cause anything to happen because it is not a force.
And if A&E were made perfect then there can be no other cause.
If on the other hand they were made imperfect, i.e. they were made with more
pride than love, which seems for all intents and purposes to have been the
case, then the bible god is not God but just a hapless alien geneticist.

God is a bit of a mirror for us, or a Rorshacht ink blot. Who or what we
think God is tells us more about ourselves than it does about God.

I do not deny the Bible. I look at the Bible in the light of truth.
That is the light of Jesus Christ who is the good Shepherd.

Not really, you want to know why a certain thing such as deformity can
happen and you want it answered as either this or that. I'm saying
that your question is flawed if it only gives the two options.
However...
If one assumes a god is in control of everything a system that is god
based would argue that nobody can know the will of god but we should
trust that his "will" will be done.
If one uses an evolutionary model they would argue that deviations from
the norm are not only possible but required for evolution to take
place. Sometimes these deviations are beyond our capacities of
acceptance - they initiate disgust and/or fear (Hunchback of Notre Dame
type thing).

Religions don't kill people, people kill people. In the arsenal of
propaganda, both religion and nationalism have been used. If we could
somehow magically make religion disappear the war machine would probably

Jesus: For my sake, just try to tell the truth. Do not try to
deceive
yourself or others. To see you must not be blinded by your
desires,

must turn a light on in your soul/mind to see. We'll call it
the
Jesus
light, or rather "the light of Christ" that sounds better, yeah.
GOS: So what will I see when I turn on the Jesus Light?
Jesus: The truth.
GOS: But...what is the truth?
Jesus: The light will reveal the truth.
GOS: But I don't have a Jesus light. How can I see?
Jesus: Just trust me.

Jesus: Just have some faith in me and I'll teach you to see.
Simply follow the teaching of Jesus and there will be the light
of
truth for us. The truth will be revealed to each everyone of us
who
lives their life in practicing and following the teaching. There
is
nothing mystery about it.
So what's your opinion on the war in Iraq?
It's a crime against humanity. Americans are being cheated, Iraqis
are
being butchered, all for the purpose of maintaining the US economy.
The gigantic US economy has become a giant vampire that needs
periodical injection of new source of capital to stay alive and
strong. As it turned out, the people of Iraq are sacrificed for the
naked American interest for profit and wealth.
Doesn't sound good.
It won't since religions are behind both sides and as long as primitive
beliefs
exist millions more will die in the name of imaginary gods.
Religions don't kill people, people kill people. In the arsenal of
propaganda, both religion and nationalism have been used. If we could
somehow magically make religion disappear the war machine would probably
just use more nationalism or even rationalism to justify war.
In 2005 the imaginary god allah is the Islamists excuse for killing
thousands
and thousands of innocents.
I'll say this, I don't have the information to make a realistic assessment
of this situation. There's a lot of evidence and a lot of lying going on, I
simply don't have the mental capacity to sort through it all and make a
judgement on it. I will say this, killing innocents is not something I can
condone, no matter by who or for whatever reason.
And I would rather there be peace so more focus could be put on spiritual
development.

Well, we'll have to disagree on this one. I still contend that even if
you remove the beliefs in gods in a person who is bent on killing
innocents, they'll still find an excuse to act on innate evolutionary
tendencies and/or socially conditioned insecurities.
