If Jesus didn't commit (suicide by cop)... |
If Jesus didn't commit (suicide by cop) he would be over 2000 yrs old by
now.
He could have kept healing himself over and over as he grew old.
After all, some people in the old days lived over 900 yrs. without much of a
problem.
This dying for our sins crap is just that.
If a God wanted to forgive sins he would just do it, (he's all powerful,
right?).
Religion is a fairy tale or a crock of crap, take your pick.

That is a translation problem, and those are months, not years. Divide
13, which is the number of months in a year, and you'll get realistic
numbers, which show that those people lived into their seventies.

was a god until it was *way* too late.

It's a holdover from the ancient barbaric rite of sacrificing animals to the
gods. It makes absolutely *no* sense.

"Dying for your sins" is just another way of saying that I am innocent
and you are the one that is wrong.
i.e., the children of Iraq are dying for the sins of George Bush and
the rest of the fascist neocons.

If jesus existed, and was a part of the omniscient "god", he knew ahead of
time that he would be crucified by the Romans, yet he did nothing to stop
it. Therefore, he committed suicide, never repented, and now resides in
hell.
