If no faith is true?
To Read: Deuteronomy 10-12
To Know:
"For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed
the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it a chaos, he
formed it to be inhabited!): 'I am the Lord, and there is no other.'" (Is.
45:18)
The final seconds of a basketball game seem to last forever. Scores change
dramatically as time-outs and fouls cause the clock to tick down painfully
slowly. Soccer is a very different game. The game clock rarely stops and one
or two scores in a ninety-minute contest are not uncommon. Once we were
behind by two goals with only minutes left in the game so we took out the
goalie in favor of another scorer. The reason was simple, we had nothing to
lose. Being two goals behind in a soccer game when time is running out is
the definition of a lost cause. Pulling the goalie out of such a game is a
wise strategy since the losing team has nothing else to lose.
To Do:
The person who believes all religious faith is the same at root has nothing
to lose by choosing Jesus Christ. Outwardly all religions look the same.
Every religion expects worship and demands a high price. No faith offers the
here and now and heaven too. Whether one is Christian, Muslim, Buddhist,
Hindu or any other, this life is a threat to the life to come. Strict Hindus
burnt wives on the funeral pyres of their deceased husbands. Buddhist Monks
incinerated themselves to protest the Vietnam War. Muslims willingly became
homicide bombers to kill the enemies of God. Christians are commanded to
take up the cross in order to follow Jesus. Christ alone claimed to be the
only way to God who is uniquely his Father. Those who believe that all
religions are the same ought to choose Jesus. If all ways lead to God then,
by definition, Jesus leads to God. If Christ was right that he is the only
way to God, then choosing to trust him is salvation. Thus, the person who
chooses to believe Jesus has nothing to lose. If no faith is true, then
Christianity, Islam and all other religions are by definition equally false.
If Christianity is one of many true religions then Christ is safely trusted.
If Christianity alone is true then to refuse faith in Christ is to suffer
eternal loss.

And what if you find out, that christianity is the false religion, with
the false god? What would you do then? Lose all faith in every religion -
yes, that would be nice. To recognise them all for what they are - those,
that do (some don't) - brainwashing experiments to get primitive man to
have a sense of morality and fairness, to stop man from killing fellow man
senselessly and neednessly --- but oh, that has happened (and still is)
in the name of religion, in the name of god, etc.
Then the experiment has failed.
Probably more due to distortions introduced by the priests and those who
wrote and edited the bible to what it is, the crap that is handed down to
us today.

"For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed
the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it a chaos, he
formed it to be inhabited!): 'I am the Lord, and there is no other.'" (Is.
45:18)

Read the words, all of them, feel the texture and message behind the words,
the implied consequences and meanings contained therein.
Here we have a god with an ego - he is god - I am the Lord, and there is no
other. Oh, we only have these words in the bible and spoken by priests, etc.
Also you do not explain to us, the various splits within christianity and
how they are each set against each other, one church/etc saying - no, they
are wrong, our bible is the correct version, and we are the ONLY ones
teaching the true teachings of Jesus, etc - those other christian churches
are wrong.
To believe that the bible is 100% accurate and true ( which you do accept )
you need to leave commonsense and plain reason and logic behind -- and
that is the reason why christianity is not accepted by the majority today,
the same for islam and judiasm --- they are not as convincing either.
People have the freedom to choose, and most choose not to accept any one of
them - for their own sanity.
The ordinary everyday commonsense - you can't engage when reading the bible,
or else you'll find all sorts of contradictions that exist.

Sounds logical but is it what we based on for the faith in Christ?
How about there exists another religion that claims the same that it is the
only way to believe in their God for salvation?
