Object: If there is a Hell
If Hell, as described in the Bible, really does exist; No one should be
suprised at who will be roasting and who won't. You know who you are.
This alone should motivate people to lead a moral, clean, decent life.
Just in case.

You misinterpret Christian teachings. Sin doesn't condemn one. In Christ,
all sins are forgiven if they are confessed with a heart of repentance.

Calling it "teachings" is a dishonest redefinition used on idiots like
you as a form of mind-control.
It doesn't "teach" anything.
Things are written in it that Christians find authoritative. That
aren't to anybody else, and you have to be particularly stupid to talk
at the rest of us as though the book meant anything to us.

The primitives that made the story up made it for people of their own
simple
logic, so they ignored the first twenty years of the man's life.

"The son of a god lives for twenty years with nothing, but nothing,
recorded
about his most important and formative years".

With this kind of lunacy no wonder the ranks of atheism grow

Documents ranging from 50AD to 100AD spanning different communities dictate
the existence of Jesus of Nazareth . The religious-scholastic world hardly
disputes that through multiple attestation, he was a real person.
"Is not this the son of Mary and Joseph, the carpenter?"
Jesus wasn't well known because he wasn't meant to be at that time in His
life. It was the moment of His baptism when His mission began, and before
that it was His objective to live life and experience what we experience, to
be prepared for the trial that was to be placed before Him.
As per your last comment: "No wonder the ranks of atheism grow". We have a
perfectly good explaination for the growth of atheism. You most likely have
heart it, but it is a demon in our world meant to distract from the truth of
God. The Enemy wants nothing more than to gain souls for darkness and to
take away from God, though His efforts are futile and miniscule in the name
of Christ.

So must you:

There are but a few rules: Be baptized in the Holy Spirit

That part's easy. Happened to me when I was a kid.

and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Now *that* is a tall order. Getting married, for example, I at least

Live accordingly.

You think "Live accordingly" is one rule, then you know nothing about

Just because history records the FACT that he lived does not make his
story or his teachings FACT also. Mohammed has been proven that he
lived, but the same goes for him. In fact there is a credible
historical theory which suggests that Jesus never actually died on the
cross. Read about the history of the Cathars and the Knights Templar
and you'll see. History is what patriarchs say it is. The church has
edited the bible and it's teachings for their own ends: it is nothing
more than a tool of societal control dressed up as a method of
salvation. It is nothing but lies, just like the Qu'ran

Welll, we have the recorded 'teachings' such as Jesus's

That was dumb.
And the failed claims that Christians get to work big, fat miracles, bigger

Just because history records the FACT that he lived does not

make

his story or his teachings FACT also.

Except that history does not record this as fact.

I'm afraid it does.

Prove it.

The age-old demand of the village idiot for anything he doesn't

like...

<chuckle>

This coming from the self professed defender of reason? Something

here

does not add up. Dismissing the importance of a person asking for
justification? Are you going about this whole usenet thing seriously
Mr. Pearse?

You think a two-word demand is anything but an insult? Be serious.
Evidence is a two-way process. No-one has the right to ask someone
else to run around unless they show evidence of doing some work
themselves. That is true, whatever the topic.
The idea that usenet should be taken seriously is a curious one, tho --
why?
All the best,

Nonsense. You made a claim, the burden of the proof of that claim is on
your shoulders. Period.

You're welcome to prove that sitting in a hole professing ignorance and
demanding to be taught is valid. "You make the claim, the burden of
proof is on you," since you profess that creed.
While you sit in your hole, sensible people are acquiring an education.
